More on the subject..I’ve noticed an increase in security this last couple of months....in several parts of Colombia. If there is a conflict I’d bet it will be short. Venezuelans wont fight for long and most will join in to help over throw the gov. But revenge killings will go on for yrs.

We’re not talking about Colombia, we’re talking about Clomobia. It’s right next to Braliz.

Isn’t Clomobia a former colony of Elbonia?

a former colony of Elbonia?

I wonder if you aren't thinking of the mythical all-woman paradise of Isle Bonia?

My thoughts too. It’s a socialist nightmare. It’s an example of Kalifornia’s end game. All they are doing is flooding Columbia for more handouts, and to bring their culture to Columbia much the same way the Mexicans do to us.

They need to starve off a significant part of the population and have a popular uprising rid their own country of the socialist trash.

We’re busy in other places at the moment. Don’t have time to invade anywhere else.

It's a socialist nightmare alright.

That said, we don't want people starving to death - rhat's too high a price to pay for total stupidity and greed. Give them minimum 'rice and beans'? Stuff to keep them alive but not nessarily 'happy'....

If the country descends into anarchy and we have to go in they should be forced to live under a rule of law constitution for twelve years. Ours would do just fine. And none of their current 'elites' would be allowed in the new government. Could be a disincentive for other hellholes totalitarian 'elites' and it keeps Putin out of South American.

From a humanitarian standpoint I agree with you. But IMO life cannot always be ruled by humanitarian deeds that eventually cause suffering to continue.

Starving people promotes revolution. Revolution is something Venezuela needs badly. They need to realize that they need a government that promotes self sufficiency of the population. Socialism does just the opposite. Giving them “minimum rice and beans” is doing exactly what the government they perpetually vote in has done. Why should they change their ways if someone else steps in and “gives” them basic essentials of life?

From a logical point of view I agree with you. Often the most miserable human situations are created out of the best of (poorly thought out) intentions.

There are solutions - switching incentives somehow - but they aren’t known yet.
