Trump in a Landslide: Here's Why (Read this)
American Thinker ^ | September 2, 2019 | Dave Ball

How does one know what the voting public thinks?

Once upon a time, long, long ago, public opinion polls may have reflected, however faintly, some generalization of public opinion. For a multitude of reasons, that is no longer true. To demonstrate that point, compare the August 29 Rasmussen poll showing President Trump’s approval rating of 47 percent with the Quinnipiac reported approval rating of 38 percent. Even more irrational are the Quinnipiac poll result that whatever is left of Joe Biden would beat Trump 54 percent to 38 percent in a general election and the Economist poll number that asserts that 55 percent of the public thinks the country is headed in the wrong direction. It is a near certainty that none of those numbers reflects reality.

So, discarding the meaningless political polls, I went to the most accurate opinion poll I am aware of for my pre-quadrennial presidential forecast: the Washington County (Pa.) Agricultural Fair.

After my 2016 visit to the fair, I reported that Trump was going to win Washington County big. Why? Enthusiasm was enormous. Trump hats were everywhere. People were wearing Trump shirts and Trump pins. These were not all registered Republicans, either. There was a large booth selling Trump merchandise and doing a land office business. There was no similar Clinton enterprise. The parking lot really told the story. Literally thousands of pickup trucks, gun racks behind the seats, many with Trump stickers and campaign messages on bumpers and tailgates. Mixed in were Mercedes and Lexus, many with similar stickers. If Mercedes and Lexus made gun racks, they would have had those, too.

The County Fair Poll was pretty accurate.

Then there’s the “linkedin” effect.

Whereas I received NO interview offers under ALL of obama’s regime, I started to receive 4 outreaches a week or MORE and it has never slowed down since a little after Trump took office.

For a skill that was for the most part many years outdated, as I had moved on to a new career.

It DOES sound like I’m spinning a yarn. I am not .

Plus I don’t know how to spin yarn :)

THAT’S an indicator of how people are gonna vote!

It seems that county fairs are a "safe space" to fly your Trump flag for some reason.

Last October, when I went to the Big E Fair in West Springfield, MA, Trump hats, pins and other gear were in abundance. Been going to these fairs for decades and never before were they political like this. It seems that Trumpers feel safe there. (I'm going back next month!)

Anyway, I posted on another thread today that approval ratings do not necessarily translate into how an election will turn out. For example, many people might think Trump as being an arrogant SOB, but they are voting for him anyhow. Especially when the alternative is likely to be a gun-grabbing socialist who wants open borders, higher taxes and 17 different bathrooms for all the different genders.

The dancing pole at the topless joint down the street is more accurate than these fake polls.

Let there be a landslide for Trump the likes of which will leave liberals so devastated they cannot function anymore. I want to see them weeping and wailing, rocking back and forth, howling in anguish! I want them rending their hair and garments, beating their fists on the ground. I want squads of police frantically trying to talk them down from bridges and rooftops, and I want them lined up at cliff edges and overpasses like strings of Christmas tree lights. I want them collapsed in grief, gouging their own faces with broken, bloody, chewed up fingernails. I want them vomiting blood. I want them crying so hard their eyes swell shut and they have to be led out of traffic. I want their therapists to be handing out Valium in gallon jugs to stop them banging their heads on walls. I want them leaving the country in droves. I want Canada to have to build holding cells for the zombie hordes trying to break into the country. I want to see them at airports, hysterically begging to be let on any plane that is leaving the country, going anywhere, anywhere! I want nuclear level despair.

Because they would kill us if they could, and they will kill this country and have an orgy on its grave if we let them.

I see a repeat of this after the 2020 election...

It will be a beautiful sight.

17 bathrooms lol

I know a number of folks who don’t approve of Trump but will vote for him.

I live in NYC, Staten Island to be exact.

My property taxes aren’t high enough to be affected by the 10k law.

But those Rs who are complaining..we CHOSE to live here.

We CHOOSE to live here.

I didn’t cry when Trump included the property tax deduction cap BECAUSE THIS IS WHERE I CHOSE TO LIVE!

It has NOTHING to do with Trump.

Many Rs feel like I do but a few cry.

During the Obama Depression, my wife tried to get a job at McDonalds. When she went there for the interview, there was a line outside the door.

Fast forward to today. There are Help Wanted signs everywhere.

Another thing is, I know of people who either reluctantly voted for Trump, didn't vote, or maybe even voted for Hillary, who will now be full-throated supporters of Trump. My wife didn't vote in 2016 because she thought Trump was a blowhard. However, she will be voting in 2020 for Trump because she sees all the economic prosperity (she's still uneasy about the tweets, while I love them).

I have yet to meet anyone who voted for Trump in 2016 who won't be voting for him in 2020.

Figures might not lie, but liars sure are mighty good at figuring.

Lies, damned lies and statistics.

And that is what a poll is - a statistic, which is subject to endless manipulation.

I’m a fat, beat up 51 year old with many options now! (though I like my new work, mainly because I can make good $$ without going to Manhattan)

51 is the age of “no one wants to hire you as much anymore”

NOT under Trump!

WHAT person out there is gonna make that happen besides DJT!?!!?!

Gotta tell ya... if only 55% of eCommunist readers think the country is headed in the wrong direction, Trump could garner 90+% of the popular vote in 2020.

I am glad your wife is voting for him.

I can see folks besides us hardcores not liking the tweets.

But tell her of the abuse he takes EACH and EVERY day and that he deserves to fight back.

Your wife has class. Not easy to have class and sit comfortable with his tweets.

One must look at the deeper reason he posts what he does.

He is fighting a million people alone and he also trolls folks to the point of driving them to insanity.

Me, I have no class so it’s no problem :)

Let me tell you my experience from a bbq gathering with friends just yesterday.

Two friends who both know I'm a Trump supporter openly told me that in 2016 they had serious reservations about voting for President Trump.

One (male) said he had to think long and hard about voting Trump when in the booth. He'd been out of work for almost two years, his three twins were starting college and his job prospects didn't look too good as an Environmental Engineer. His wife had to go back to work full-time and he found part-time work just to get by and pay the bills.

He said he felt the economy finally open up immediately after PDJT was elected. By end of December 2016 he had several full-time offers and was working again - making more than in the job he lost.

His exact words were "it's a no-brainer pulling the lever for Trump this time. No question in my mind."

His wife, previously a dyed in the wool liberal said she's sickened by what the Democrat party has become and there's just no way she could vote for any one of them running. When I asked if that meant she was voting for President Trump she said "Yes." No question in her mind either.

These were two people who questioned their voting for President Trump in the first place. The Democrat party has moved so far to the left in both their views that there's just no way in hell they'd vote for them.

These are the types people President Trump has won over since 2016. Democrats and union members who didn't vote for Trump last time are looking long and hard at what their party has become and choosing President Trump.

Landslide? You betcha.

Was talking with nephew yesterday - in his second year in IT with a major international accounting firm - first year out of college in DC, now in NYC - loves it - says he’d like to wear his MAGA hat around the office sometimes but knows he’d literally be in physical danger if he did - but says he knows there are many like him with the company - not saying anything, just waiting to vote next year......

Do not get cocky! Trump will surely win a free and fair election, but it will take enormous will and effort to keep the 2020 election free and fair.

For every one of those state fairs there is a large Democrat controlled city like Philadelphia or Cleveland planning to harvest, stuff and fake however many ballots it takes to outweigh those pickup truck drivers. Either we stop them or Trump loses.
