Liberals [progressives] are so dumb.
Dumb in that they are so blinded by hate because they do not have control of everyone’s lives it turns there brains to mush trying to gain control.
They could move to a socialist country and be “happy”? They should be contented to live in a relatively free country? But they choose to wage a never ending war?
A perfect example of politic involvement in war and the usual end result...failure. We need to go back to the old way of fighting wars. We want to be the good guys and win the hearts and minds of people. We go in and “liberate” a people, pay to rebuild their societies, then stay because they can’t handle their own security. This costs way too much in blood and money, then they turn on us. Time to throw away liberation, and go in as conquerors. We get attacked...annihilate the enemy, then leave and let the survivors figure it out. Sooner or later, if it happens enough times, people will leave us alone. They’re not worth liberating when they don’t even know what freedom means and would rather have the mullahs suppress them.
And they make it so exhausting. For what? Nothing!!!!

Precisely. I was also wondering when someone in the middle east would try to take advantage of the political situation the Democrats have put us in.
President Trump needs to hammer this down, hard. And then point out to the nation that the Democrats, specifically Pelosi and Schiff, have caused this.
Punishment needs to be meted out, and not just to Iran and Iraq...
Let the gleeful liberals ( yes they are hoping for American deaths) keep calling this “ Trump’s Benghazi”

“REAL militias would have had REAL weapons”
This is a real Militia (Kata’ib Hizbollah) they were established and are commanded (covertly) by the Iranian regime inside Iraq, with Iraqi employees, just like Hizbollah is in Lebanon. They are one of Iran’s surrogate forces in Iraq. They would not do this without direct approval from Iranian Quds Force Commanding General Soleimani.
Most of those guys get regular paychecks as full time employees of that Militia. Some of them are likely family members of the guys we recently killed in airstrikes against that militia.
This is not a sincere attempt to seize and occupy (or destroy) the embassy. This is a violent demonstration, to rattle American nerves, to rally their own troops after they got smacked down hard with airstrikes, and for media consumption.
It could get out of hand, and the Iranians may want to get the Americans to kill a few of their stooges, for propaganda purposes.

These guys are paid surrogates of Iran - hired thugs. They are a tiny minority, not representative of the whole population.
They are like a more highly militarized version of ANTIFA - they are recruited from the domestic population, but their loyalty is not to their country.
Makes sense, the media should be honest and point that out.

I don’t get it. “Storming” an embassy means entering it - and will be treated as an invasion where the marines can eliminate with extreme prejudice.
From what I can tell, the mob is outside and never even attempted to enter. As a result, the US forces never shot at them.
Now the Iraqi government, on the other hand, has a lot of explaining to do - where the heck are their forces preventing this very thing from happening to the US embassy?
I’m sure the American response to this betrayal is going to be brutal - Trump isn’t a weak-wristed Obama.
Note well that without Obama and Hillary Clinton being in charge, this didn’t end up like Bengazi. Democrats can’t run things. Remember the Iranian embassy under Carter?
