Protesters can often be heard chanting, “Stay together, stay tight! We do this every night” in the streets of downtown Portland. The second half of the slogan is especially fitting as the riots continued for the 41st consecutive night Wednesday in downtown Portland.
Terry Schrunk Plaza was the scene of a loose gathering of about 100 people Terry Schrunk Plaza on Wednesday evening. A group of federal police officers ran through the area at about 9:30 p.m. and some protesters claimed the officers used pepper spray. Others said the officers were responding to someone using a laser. The scene quickly cleared. It’s unclear at this time whether any arrests were made.
There was a moment where a gun owner probably saved his life by pulling out his gun while the police stayed away!

The Portland PD did nothing while these rioters were attacking the vehicle! Riots were declared four nights last week. Dozens of people have been arrested by Portland police and at least seven people now face federal charges.
During a press conference Wednesday, Deputy Chief Chris Davis was asked about the criteria for declaring a riot. Legally, a riot occurs when there are “six or more persons engaging in tumultuous and violent conduct and thereby intentionally or recklessly creating a grave risk of causing public alarm, excluding persons who are engaged in passive resistance,” Davis said. In application, though, the bureau doesn’t normally declare a riot until conduct goes far beyond what’s described in Oregon law, he added.
“Sustained barrage of hazardous things thrown, fires, that kind of behavior,” Davis said. “We’re really looking more at it in terms of life safety risks.”
The police will do nothing but for a people that are proud supporters of the second amendment there is always an option, sometimes just shooting in the air can teach the rioters a lesson, next time he could shot them instead shooting in the air!

I am begging my daughter to do that. She kept her job in the lockdown, she has been working from home since March 10th. Her fiancee freaked out, my daughter found out for the first time, her boyfriend was suffering from Bi-polar disease and he went into a manic state due to his life being disrupted.
Two weeks after they broke up and he moved out, her 14 year old dog died. She listed her home the next month, and is in escrow with two offers both $50,000 over asking price!!
She has moved in with a friend and I have been discouraging her to replace her home. Prices are way too high and the city is burning. She is listening and weighing options.
I would be a weeks salary on it. Most of the folks defending themselves against the mob are being prosecuted. Not all but it certainly seems like the majority are being "taught at lesson".
Let’s think about this for a moment.
Firing a gun from (or into) a vechicle is a felony, especially in an urban environment in proximity to people regardless of who they are unless they present the need to use deadly force in defense of life, limb, family, others. (Good luck with that.)
He was firing out the window into the air as he was driving away, not at anyone.
If he legitimately needed to use deadly force (firing his gun) violent aggressors should have had bullet holes in them.
The driver’s license plate was documented.
He will be arrested, prosecuted and his Second Amendment rights will be cancelled permanently.
These days you’re suicidal if you don’t.
If you want to activate the police, send an anonymous threat that the next group of protesters will be intentionally attacked with a convoy of machine-gun wielding rednecks who will kill them to the last man. Then the police will use the excuse of “for your own safety” and “credible threat” to shut things down.
While they are inactive, DA’s are very active against innocent people on the other end of this satanic mob who dare defend themselves.
Both brandishing and firing warning shots are illegal in Oregon.
Not real sure what I will do in a similar situation due to the simple fact you don’t really know until it happens. But my plan is not to shoot into the air. .45 ACP defensive rounds leave BIG holes. I will not get arrested or go to jail for shooting a**holes like these or firing my gun in a situation like this. But don’t come to arrest me if you will not enforce ALL laws.
Fire them for dereliction of their duty.
I have these items. I also have "Cop-Watch" on my phone - which instantly uploads all videos to a private YouTube channel (so even if my phone is damaged or destroyed - I have a record up to that point).

Cops are all in cya mode. Dont count on them to do a thing to help you unless it serves them too.
But he's NOT in the wild west. He was in the middle downtown. That's the reckless discharge of a firearm. Where are those rounds going?
Does anyone here want their kid to be behind one of those windows and would they be OK with them being collateral damage given his level of danger?

One of the big rules of carrying a gun. Stay away from trouble. If trouble comes looking for you run away. The weapon is a last resort.
Driving down a street where there is an obvious disturbance ahead is always a bad idea. This guy is now in a big legal mess of his own making.

Interesting how the mob seemed unfazed by the shooting.
Such a situation gives authority to use deadly force in most states - and even if you have a duty to retreat, there's no retreat with a mob surrounding your car.
If this wasn't a scripted setup the guy did the smartest thing by not shooting anyone - just warning shots and beat it on out of there. We'll hear more - the plate number is clear.
If he was going to fire a gun and claim that he feared for his life, the time to do it was when the mob had the car door open.
Firing his pistol as he drove away, appears to me to be “showing them who’s boss.” Just attitude.
