Droughts always end in flooding. Be careful what you/they wish for.

Somehow, I just knew that Pres. Trump’s decisions would be drawn into this situation. I don’t see how any “climate change” propaganda has anything to do with this, mainly because man can’t really change the climate. This problem they may be facing in certain areas would have come or not, irregardless of what the climate change people are harping about. I just happens sometimes, unfortunately. But, of course, this is an election year.

No scare at all. We’ve had a 4 rain storm monsoon season, and the last 2 (yesterday and Saturday) were tropical storm Genevieve not actually monsoon. It’s bad dry around here.

My answer to the libs is, “Yep. Climate changes.”
I do worry about fire in the Inland NW. My daughter lives in North Idaho, has a beautiful home out in the trees. Do my rain dance daily, without much luck.

Two dust storms converged over the greater Phoenix area on Sunday, hours after the city broke another record as a heat wave grips the West.
The dust storms were minor compared to 2018. And yes, it hasn't been raining. We are in the desert! A couple of months with no rain is hardly unheard of, nor is 115 degrees in August.

I have a hard time getting past the inevitable use of the word “never” to describe what we are experiencing, when what they really mean is “on record”. In fact we have been keeping records for about 125 years and we really have no idea what may have happened previous to that.
But history, and real science have no use to the climate change alarmists, do they?

“by a drought that never seems to end”
Uh, we just ended a 4 year run of record snow fall and precip in the Western end of the Southwest which also hit the rest of the Southwest quite nicely.
Do a search on “Januburied” - January 2017 in the Sierras was the highest snowfall month ever recorded.
The predictable downcycle is underway now. And the just as predictable screaming about “we’re all gonna die!” has ensued, since they depend on short memories.
