The simple answer is that there are at least two sides. These two sides disagree on how society should be ruled. Neither side is willing to accept the rule of the other.
It is “force”, one idealogy against another.

We can't do anything about the Democrats who ordered it. But I'll bet there is something we can do about the Republicans who enabled it...

The elite in this country have depended on control of the narrative, and through that, control of politicians, for decades.
President Trump is the result of the loss of their ability to control the flow of information in the United States.
No elite in power gives up power easily.

A civil war denotes a conflict between competing political ideologies.
Monarchy versus Democracy
Communism versus Monarchy

What we have in this country is a good old fashioned fight between the criminal Democrats and the law and order Republicans.
The Democrat political leaders make their fortunes by looting the public treasuries.
Every couple of years, the Democrat politicians start advertising that they are actually Angels and just want to help poor folks out. They win if they can convince enough suckers to vote for them.
It’s not a civil war.
It’s a fight by criminal Democrats to continue their thievery with no legal repercussions.

There isn’t going to be any civil war. The Left absolutely cannot take this country by force. America has to be given away.
If you tell a lie loud enough and often enough, people BELIEVE it. There never was a nation called Palestine. The Romans renamed Israel that (a corruption of Philistine) as a slam. But that didn’t stop Arafat (an Egyptian) from “creating” one. Today, many if not most believe in a two staye solution for some displaced Jordanians WHO NEVER OWNED THAT LAND. Endless wars because of the lie.

All empires split up eventually. Repeal the 17th amendment and we may have a chance.
Decades of leftist control of academia and the entertainment industry combined with loose immigration got us to this point. The Left is an evil, malignant force that only knows how to destroy and long ago it should have been treated as the enemy to progress that it is.
Will we be issued uniforms so that we can tell who to shoot?

I don’t think so.
This is a very small group of people acting like the tail that wags the dog.
Who are these anarquists and violent demonstrators? they are only about 200-300 people and they get bussed or drive to a target city, they bring VANS with purchased bottles, sticks, fireworks. they bring walkie talkies to coordinate attacks, they bring people with some knowledge of first aid and call them medics, they bring their own filming crews hoping to catch some poor victim defending themselves against their attacks.
They are NOT LOCAL to the city they protest, they go in, take over, perhaps, peaceful demonstrations, they incite a riot and violence and then leave. Then they target the next town.
It is not difficult to arrest 300 people. It is not difficult to get ONE of them to flip and provide information on their organizers and superiors and backers. It is not difficult to arrest the backers and financial supporters as accessories to a crime.
We don’t need Civil War for that.
