Exactly. If the Bank released confidential information (bank balances) I would sue them into dust!

My first thought. I suppose a private bank can choose to do business with whom they choose legal or illicit but I have no concept of what society we live in anymore.

Exactly! This has to violate some kind of privacy covenant somewhere....Banks can’t simply tell the press about people’s status of their accounts. Unbelievable the country we’re living in.
