What it Means for the Rest of Us When Twitter Bans O’Keefe and Project Veritas

Ok, so, follow me here… – James O’Keefe and Project Veritas repeatedly exposed CNN’s Nazi-style propaganda operation all over Twitter this week, airing videos of a senior producer at the cable channel only Joseph Goebbels could love bragging about CNN’s efforts to slant and outright fake the news it reports to its pathetic viewers in order to help tilt the 2020 presidential election in favor of our new Sock Puppet-in-Chief, China Joe Biden.

This producer’s on-video testimony reveals clearly and unambiguously that CNN has knowingly and intentionally aired fake news and promoted false conspiracies not only on air, but also all across its own website and social media accounts, including those housed at Twitter. These actions are in clear violation of the “rules” that Twitter pretends to enforce. No question about it. Thus, CNN and all of its on-air personalities who also have accounts on Twitter would logically be subject to being suspended and/or outright banned as a result of these intentional efforts to spread false propaganda across American society, something Twitter pretends to be trying to prevent with its unending efforts to censor conservative thought.

James O’Keefe and Project Veritas have unquestionably preformed a great public service by airing these videos. They’ve engaged in actual acts of real journalism, the kind of which J-school professors and newsroom editors used to be proud of, back when America had an actual functioning news media. Back when America used to be an actual, functioning republic.

So, in light of all of this fine journalism work that James O’Keefe and Project Veritas have done in exposing CNN’s outright mendacity yet again, what do the evil minions who run Twitter do? Why, they do exactly what we all should have expected them to do: They banned James O’Keefe and Project Veritas late on Thursday:

From a story at JustTheNews.com:

Project Veritas founder and president James O’Keefe’s Twitter account has been suspended the same week that the undercover organization has been releasing secretly recorded footage of remarks made by a CNN employee.

“I am suing Twitter for defamation because they said I, James O’Keefe, ‘operated fake accounts.’ This is false, this is defamatory, and they will pay. Section 230 may have protected them before, but it will not protect them from me. The complaint will be filed Monday,” O’Keefe said in a statement.

Project Veritas reported that a spokesperson for the social media company confirmed that O’Keefe is permanently barred “for violating the Twitter Rules on platform manipulation and spam.”

Project Veritas this week has released video footage featuring recordings of comments made by CNN Technical Director Charlie Chester, including footage in which Chester indicates that he believes CNN got Donald Trump ousted from the presidency.

“Look what we did, we got Trump out. I am 100% gonna say it, and I 100% believe it that if it wasn’t for CNN, I don’t know that Trump woulda got voted out. I really don’t think so,” Chester said.

[End] O’Keefe, in an appearance with Captain Tick-Tock Sean Hannity last night, talked about his plans to sue Twitter for defamation for its lies about his conduct on the platform:

Other social media platforms, like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Google, have also either banned O’Keefe and Project Veritas or heavily censored their videos.

So, now we see Big Tech monopolies not just helping to spread the Nazi-style propaganda these evil fake-news operations put out, but also resorting to outright banning anyone who dares to expose them.

Last Summer, as a dozen American cities were being burned and looted by two domestic terrorist groups created and funded by the Democrat Party and its donors, I told you America was basically at the same point in its history where Nazi Germany was when the Nazis launched Kristallnacht, or the “Night of Broken Glass” in November, 1938.

Today, with the Democrats having assumed full control in Washington and clamping down on their control of all elements of the media in this country, we’ve rolled right into Nazi Germany, circa 1939.

Poland had better watch out.

That is all.

Conservatives fleeing or being expelled from huge, global communication platforms ensures that progressives can further dominate the narrative that is consumed by the least politically engaged.

If this weren’t bad for Republicans and conservatives, then Twitter, Facebook, Apple etc wouldn’t be doing it. Losing the battle for social media will be as bad, and possibly even worse, for conservatives as losing academia has been.

Look what has happened to Julian Assange. Facing 175 years in Florence CO ADX Supermax, held without bail in the UK terrorist prison, Belmarsh.

O’Keefe is probably headed for such a fate down the line...or maybe just an unfortunate accident.

Simple. We have the ingenuity, so why dig deeper into these monolithic corporate pits of censorship?

Why do churches use facebook or twitter, and then pitch a fit when they are blocked?

Social media is not static.

I see a bit of hyperbole involved over the importance of Twitter banning people and being available to all as if it was a 1A right. While I don't like the practice and can't stand Jack Dorsey, I don't use Twitter and haven't since the Obama administration. I am old enough to remember the time before the Internet, before cable TV, before smartphones, when you had word of mouth and five over-the-air TV stations, radio and newspapers (which were leftist rags even back then). Sometimes I am amazed at how well informed I was back then. I'll catch myself telling a story about how it was back in the old days and wonder how in the world did I even know that was happening.

Granted, social media can help communication, but I suspect the reality of the situation is that about 99% of what is communicated is noise and unneeded. I really do not need to know local news of someplace 1,000 miles away or even 100 miles. Most of the crap news on social media is just that. Too much becomes national or global on social media. That removes focus for the importance of issues, since every moment spent on crap is a moment not spent on something of national import (or state).

As for Project Veritas, I certainly find out about its work without Twitter. As long as there are conservative news outlets and an open Internet, there is a way to get message out. People need to stop being afraid of life without social media. Kill it. Stop using it. Take that power away from people like Jack Dorsey. We really do not need social media, we would be better served by a little more focus on the big stuff. (Don't sweat the small stuff.) Additionally, life is much better dealing with people face-to-face (without face diapers) instead of through devices.

It means you should have listened to those crazy survivalists and been prepping for the past ten years. They might not have known exactly what the coming shtf scenario was but it's here.

Hope James O’Keefe has good security.

The question is this: Why are you still on Twitter?

I'd like to see a stake driven through Twitter's bottom line.

Twitter stock price plunged as much as 12% causing them to lose $5 billion in market value, Business Insider reported.

I don’t know why any conservative is on Twitter. I mean, keep feeding the machine that seeks your destruction.

Stop pretending that Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTub are merely private entities. They are the major conduit for information. Rolling over and playing dead to support leftist control the flow of information is a disgusting abdication of our responsibility as citizens.

There is no such thing as a free press when leftists control all the avenues of dissemination. You may be OK with the first amendment in name only, a system perfected by Nazis, the Maoists, and Stalinists, but conservatives will not stand for a Potemkin village media.

Stop this despicable attempt to delegitimize those of us working to ensure the free flow of information, to protect first amendment rights that are true in practice, not just in theory.

Great point. Facebook and Twitter are drunk with power. Power that they think they have. Does anyone remember Blockbuster Video, who was indispensable to American Culture? Also drunk with power. Where is Blockbuster Video now?

Sorry that you think this way. We can agree to disagree, and what I don't do (use social media) will not affect your efforts to nationalize publicly traded companies. I also have privacy issues with social media. I am not going to spend my time on social media so advertising is pushed at me and my private information is sold and resold. I don't want anyone knowing my location, what I am doing, how I spend money, and who I am associating. I suppose that it is despicable that I want privacy. It is despicable that I do not want government regulation, or worse yet, private-public partnerships. Because once government starts to regulate social media and free speech then they will have access to that speech and privacy goes out the window.

The notion of private-public collaboration for the purpose of free speech is nothing more than corporatism, better know as fascism. In the end, those leftist private companies will still be making money off your speech, and that money will be sent to Washington to control politicians. If you want social media that is more free and open, make the switch to better platforms and starve the leftists that dominate now. I refuse to feed the enemy and make them stronger. I don't compromise. I just don't use social media. That way I can live with myself knowing that I am not some useful idiot of the left.

So who is really despicable?

As for Project Veritas, I certainly find out about its work without Twitter.

Project Veritas is exposing the hypocrisy of the establishment. These people at Twitter and CNN seek to be the sole purveyors and providers of information to the public, and conspire together to exclude and suppress any contrary facts while asserting otherwise. The existence of the information provided by Project Veritas and the misfeasance of equal treatment by Twitter serves to reinforce the theories of bias and conspiracy.

So it is significant. People who rely on Twitter and CNN as authoritative and honest, thus disparaging alternate news sources, may be persuaded otherwise with actual facts.
