Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine
ORYX ^ | Since February 24, 2022 and daily | ORYX

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

We all know ‘cranked’ is not an American. He is a RuZZian national. A real crackpot.

I encourage everyone to ignore him. I don’t intend to ever respond to him again.

Everyone’s own decision of course.

Followup to my posting yesterday of explosion in Klintsy RuZZia.

“Huge crater in a grouping of engineering vehicles. A MDK-3 trench-digger is on its back so probably damaged. Seemingly ok is a UR-77 ‘Meteorit’ mine clearing vehicle, a BREM-1 ARV + PTS-2 amphibious vehicle. Maybe something was in the whole as there’s debris lying on the BREM-1.”

“Consequences of an unexplained explosion in the military unit in Klintsy, Bryansk Oblast last night. The Russians are implying this was a missile strike.”

It’s the RuZZian way.

“Mobilised Russians are falling sick en masse with bronchitis and pneumonia at their training camp in Siberia, where they are living in tents in temperatures of -30°C (-22°F) according to their wives. They are being given no medicines and are having to buy their own.

2/ Baikal Journal reports that the wives of mobiks from Irkutsk are speaking out about the way their husbands are being treated. One has written on the VK (social media) page of Irkutsk regional governor Igor Kobzev that the men are all sick but aren’t being treated:

3/ “There is no proper medical care, they buy medicines themselves, they are already on a third round of antibiotics – and all this in tents. Do you want them not to reach the Special Military Operation zone at all?” She asks the governor to “take action”.

4/ According to the wife, her husband was mobilised in October and was taken to the Koltsovo training range in Novosibersk oblast. She says they live in tents heated by wood-burning stoves, with the men sleeping in their clothes and sleeping bags.

5/ The men wash in an inflatable mobile bath in temperatures of -30°C. Not surprisingly, another wife says, they now all have terrible coughs which won’t go away.

6/ “My husband went to such a bathhouse and got sick. He went to the health centre and was sent to the polyclinic where he was diagnosed with mild bronchitis. They prescribed medication, including an antibiotic. He was treated, but the cough did not go away.

7/ And now it has worsened again, with high fever. It’s the same for everyone in the tent, there are only Irkutsk people there. They bought antibiotics again and started taking them.

8/ The paramedic at the medical station listened to them and said that their lungs were clear: you were taking antibiotics, so drink them. And he sent them back to the tent.”

9/ According to another mobilised man at Koltsovo, “We have 95 per cent who are sick”. He himself caught bilateral pneumonia and spent a month in hospital before returning to the range in early December.

10/ Many of the men are attempting to cope by drinking alcohol “to make the cold easier”. However, alcohol is risky in cold weather as it increases the risk of falling asleep in the cold. “There have been cases of frostbite, someone has already been hospitalised.”

11/ The mobiks have also been given inadequate training and poor-quality uniforms. According to a wife, since they arrived at Koltsovo, they have had only three sessions of shooting practice.

12/ “There were no practical classes in medicine at all, the cadets came, they told on their fingers what and how. It seems that they are doing something for snipers, but the infantry mostly just sits in tents.”

13/ The men have also been given “horrible breeches, jackets and felt boots”. They expect that they will be given unusable body armour, so they are now looking at buying their own. “The price tag for them starts at 140,000 rubles ($2225). There’s not enough pay here [to buy it].”

14/ The wives say they support the war but are angry that their husbands are not being adequately prepared for it.

“We believe that all this is [needed] for a just cause, we are proud of the guys, we don’t blame the authorities for this situation.

15/ We are relatives, and we do not allow ourselves to say such things, so as not to damage the spirit of the guys. The question is about the attitude of the authorities themselves – with poor equipment, with conditions, with training, which is not really present.

16/ That is where the big complaints are. If you are sending young men to military service, you will do everything possible so that they are prepared and equipped to fight as they should.

17/ And not in a way that you just give out something for show, don’t understand what it is, and then you go on doing whatever you want to do.”

“Former U.S. Pilot Helped Chinese Aviators Train for Aircraft Carriers, Indictment Says”

“U.S. authorities are alleging that a former American pilot detained in Australia was involved in training Chinese military pilots how to land on aircraft carriers, the latest development in a campaign by the U.S. and its allies to prevent China from recruiting Western aviators.

The allegations were contained in an indictment, dated from 2017, that was unsealed on Friday by a federal court in Washington, D.C. Prosecutors allege that Daniel Edmund Duggan, a former commissioned officer in the U.S. Marines who was taken into custody in Australia in October, breached U.S. arms-control laws and was involved in a conspiracy.

A lawyer for Mr. Duggan didn’t respond to a request for comment. The lawyer, Dennis Miralis, previously said that Mr. Duggan denies breaching any laws. He also previously said that the U.S. requested that Australia arrest Mr. Duggan, and that U.S. authorities could try to have him extradited to face charges in the U.S.”

“Italy’s Meloni Vows to Send More Arms to Ukraine as War Drags on”

“Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said Italy will continue to support Ukraine militarily as there are no signs Russia’s invasion of the country will ease anytime soon.

“The possibility of a cease-fire seems very limited, and while we support efforts in that direction in the meantime we need to continue to fully support Ukraine,” Meloni told Rome lawmakers ahead of the European Union’s summit this week, the first she will attend as prime minister. “

———————————————————————————————————————
••Turkey & Russia:
Turkey is now allowing export of Russian crude; there was a bottleneck when Turkish authorities didn’t allow passage of Russian tankers through Dardanelles Straits because they didn’t have proper maritime insurance.

Somehow this problem got resolved well somehow I would say not because Russian tankers somehow got maritime insurance apparently there was some back door deal reached between Turkey and Russia, so now Russian crude is freely flowing to Asia.

Shipping of Russian crude by seaborne routes went up to 3.5 million barrels per day - just a reminder, the Russia produces 11 million barrels per day - all of that is going to Asia: typically India, China, Turkey, Pakistan, everything Asia, and this embargo price ceiling is not working, because Russian crude just switched direction from going to Europe, now its going to Asia, and selling at a discount at the same time, and this is we’re talking about the Euros.

Far Eastern Russian Blend is not discounted or is extremely minimal, and Russia gets pretty much full price - without any problems. Again, this whole export crude oil price ceiling simply does not work and will never work.

Apparently, Russia and India sign agreements so that Russian banks can make payments in Rupees, and accept in India Rupees; now Russia can directly do payments without need to use Euros or US dollars; that guarantees security of the payments, and so that’s another blow to this whole idea of blocking Russian energy exports.

What Russian government is doing internally is they are increasing taxes on natural resource producing companies, Gazprom had to pay more in taxes to Russian government, now they are increasing taxes on diamond mining company called ALROSA, but that’s a sign of the desperation of the Russian government that they are trying to milk whatever they can milk, whoever they can milk, and large companies; natural resource producing companies are perfect target for that.

••China:
China prohibited export of its LongSong processor that it developed internally, a 12nm technology - remember, the latest and greatest right now 3-7nm, but 12nm is still considered to be pretty advanced - 12nm is pretty good on a relative scale: its not top notch, but its still good enough. Even without with all of the US export bans, China is still capable of producing processors, relatively modern processes, for its military equipment, specifically. The US continues pushing against them, trying to limit the ability of China to produce semiconductors.

The US, about a week or two weeks ago, asked the Netherlands to stop selling semiconductor manufacturing equipment specifically the ASML company. ASML is the largest lithographic company. Apparently, also the US is in talks with Japanese competitors of ASML to stop selling semiconductor manufacturing equipment to China; the US is pulling all plugs now, its also not a sign of good situation - that’s a sign of desperation for the US.

I mentioned Xi Jinping’s visit to Persian Gulf that it went well, so we’re seeing more and more signs of that. There are rumors that China and Saudi Arabia signed many agreements worth at least US$50 billion - before I reported it was around US$29, now its went up to US$50.

Another important point is Saudi Arabia is signing an agreement with Huawei for Cloud computing, support for all technology needs in Saudi Arabia. A reminder: Huawei built a 5G network in the Persian Gulf; what this means is technologically, the Persian Gulf is already in hands of China, because if you’re supplying this communication equipment, which is what Huawei’s specialty, its core businesses is communication equipment for internet, phones, and all kinds of communication.

With that, you have ability to spy on whoever buys your equipment, which China is doing in large numbers; this again says the Persian Gulf is aligned with China, not with the West, and that’s so very clear sign and answer to West.

••Ukraine Power Grid:
The power grid is on the edge not getting better, not getting worse - in coma is the best way to describe it. How long it will remain in a coma is unclear, but its severely crippled.

••Military Situation:
General:
Its becoming more and more clear that Russian troops are becoming more aggressive, more willing to start an attack, and taking us to from Ukrainian hands - that’s the key point - this process is slow, its going to be a slow process, but more and more signs are emerging.

••Ukraine:
Ukraine got 155mm howitzers from France named TRF-1: Towed; Crew: 8; Barrel: L/40; Range: 19-15 miles; Combustable Casings; RPM: 3 shells in 15 sec, max 6 shells. Its relatively old equipment, but its a good match relative to what Russia has, except only 6 in number, makes me laugh, but Ukraine is grateful to France for even 6 units.

••North Luhansk’:
There’s a lot of Russian activity for the day, and it looks like Russian Command decided to pursue opportunities in this area or is to push Ukrainian troops behind the Oskil River and behind Siverski-Donetsk River to recover what they lost, to ensure the security of Svatove, and Starobilsk’ and security of the Siverski-Donetsk and Rubizhne, there are no Ukrainian attacks threatening the rear of the Russian troops on the North Donbas front line.

That’s probably the objective of this operation, but I’m not saying that for sure, it has started, but its becoming more clear and evident that this is probably what’s happening here.

As things develop I’ll be able to confirm more or just say this is just a local attack, but the number of attacks cannot be local, and as there is a correction here, so it looks like Ukrainian troops in this area are on the western side of this tiny stream or tiny river and the Russian troops on the eastern - that’s the river divides them - there is no Ukrainian bridgehead on the east side - this was an error I’m correcting.

••North Donbas:
Things here are pretty active: Russian attacks in all main places, no major breakthrough, but that’s how everything is for both sides, with losses on both sides, both suffering pretty heavy losses. There’s no numbers on Ukrainian side I would single out 57th Brigade which is suffering really heavy losses fighting with Wagner mercenaries, and pretty sure that Wagner mercenaries are also suffering very high losses.

South of Bakhmod, the situation is the same: Russian troops attempting to exploit their initial successes, and they want to clear up the eastern side - everything on the eastern side of the channel of the Dnipro-Donbas freshwater channel, they just want to get there and then attack towards Ivanivski, at which point it will be become extremely difficult to to hold to Bakhmod, that’s the whole point.

Russian side clearly declared that the whole point is to create meat grinder and an unbearable situation for Ukrainian side; Russian troops started attacking towards Toretsk that’s relatively new direction, and not the positive development either, but Ukrainian lines held today, which honestly doesn’t mean anything & could easily fall tomorrow.

••Central Donbas:
Things here are relatively quiet: just some weak attacks north of Adivka, some fighting in Marinka. Russian side is claiming they now control 70% of Marinka which is not impossible to verify. Russian troops continuing attacking Velyka Novoslika, without any success so far.

••Zaporizhya:
Here everything is sleepy.

Small detail: having checked better quality📽️, 2nd vehicle viewed I’m now less certain is a BREM-1. Maybe a IMR type combat engineering vehicle.

4. More recent sat imagery from December 6th suggests there was not much more around the crater than what we saw in the film. The MDK-3 trench digger is likely the longer vehicle in the building’s shadow.
