House GOP appears to have the votes to expel Santos

Nearly 90 House Republicans say they plan or are likely to support voting to expel George Santos from Congress. That means it’s a near-certainty the indicted lawmaker will be out this week.

A POLITICO internal whip count has found that more than 75 House Republicans say they plan to vote for Santos’ expulsion, while a dozen say they are likely to support his removal. If all Democrats vote to boot him, as expected, then lawmakers will reach the two-thirds vote threshold required to remove the New York Republican from the House.

The vote would set a new precedent. The House has only expelled five members in history, three due to supporting the Confederacy during the Civil War. The other two were both convicted before their colleagues voted to boot them from Congress.

New York has a Democrat governor who is sure fire to appoint a Democrat in his place. The slim Republican majority will be diminished even further. Santos himself has still not been convicted of anything.

Jackass Biden is bragging that he cancelled the student loans for 800,000 people, and that by doing this, they will vote for him. Impeach? How about arrest for bribery!

The Dems will pick up the seat in 2024 but until then, they can campaign and attach all Republicans to George Santos.

In 2024 they will call the GOP, The Party of George Santos.

The lesson learned by the House democrats is:

We can get the Republicans to do the right thing, but still make up horrible lies and use our hold on media to castigate them, all while supporting our own corrupt members from our own party, whom we would never let be expelled. What a bunch of maroons the GOP is! Snicker, snicker, smirk and laugh...

“New York has a Democrat governor who is sure fire to appoint a Democrat in his place.”

That will not happen.

Governors can’t appoint House Representatives, only Senators.

According to the U.S. Constitution, Article I, Section 2, Clause 4, when vacancies happen in the Representation from any State, the Executive Authority thereof shall issue Writs of Election to fill such Vacancies. The governor of the state where the vacancy occurs must call for a special election to elect a new representative.

Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

— Goal #15 of the 45 communist goals for the USA
There have not been two separate political parties for quite a while.

This is an extremely bad idea and parliamentary move that would set a precedent that could not be undone. Just imagine a house with a large radical democrat majority. They could deem representatives such a Jim Jordon or other stalwarts of conservative constitutional law as guilty of the crimes they make up and expel them. Santos is worthy of expulsion by the voters not by his peers in Congress.

This is what the radical dems are trying to do to Trump. They want to expel him from the election process by law fare and not by the decision of the voters. THEY FEAR TRUMP.

They had to go back and dig out old records to find some
evidence of Santos misconduct.
If this is not evidence of lawfare then what it means.

Meanwhile you have the squad openly violating the laws and constitution.

The house GOP is a spineless disgusting group if they go along with this dem charade and this includes speaker Johnson who should have shut this down.
