Thanks to all that’s been praying for my Mom; she’s healing well. Structurally, the hip is sound enough to bear her full weight; she needs to grit through a little bit of pain and WORK it so her musculature can get back to bearing her weight, again.
Meanwhile, her stay at post-acute is running out mid-week next week, soooo... she’s gonna have to move, and it can’t be back to where she’s been. So we’re scrambling. Got a new place somewhat lined up but it’ll have to be a 2-stage move because the full-sized room she’d prefer isn’t ready, yet. Just what I wanted later in mid-life: to be a furniture mover. Oh, brudda!

I’m hoping everything works out for your mother and that your adrenaline kicks in when your muscles want to fail!
I hope your mother adjusts well to the two-stage move. Those things get harder as we age.
I’m grateful to be where I am, and don’t anticipate another move. I don’t want to pack again. I have too many books.
Good luck with the move. At my age (no longer mid-life) I hire help from U-Haul.
