Repressive States: No Right to Carry, Ban on Semi-Autos, No Suppressors, and High Taxes

Nine states show up again and again as the most repressive states in the union of the United States of America. With the occasional exception, these states refuse to honor the Constitution; they have extremely restrictive policies on who may bear arms, they ban common rifles, they ban the ownership of suppressors, and they tend to have high taxes. They are all controlled by the Democratic Party.

The nine most repressive states are California, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island.

Of those nine states, all but Rhode Island have enacted bans on some semi-automatic firearms, usually under the politically defined label of “assault rifles.”

Washington State has also banned certain semi-automatic rifles. Litigation challenging such bans as unconstitutional is moving forward in several states, including Maryland, New York, California, Illinois, and New Jersey. At some point, the Supreme Court will rule on one or more of these cases.Of those nine states, all but Rhode Island have enacted bans on some semi-automatic firearms, usually under the politically defined label of Of those nine states, all but Rhode Island have enacted bans on some semi-automatic firearms, usually under the politically defined label of “assault rifles.”

Of the nine repressive states, eight of them have laws that prevent most of the population from exercising their Second Amendment rights, especially the right to bear arms outside of the home.

The right-to-carry map shows the current state of the right to carry in the United States of America by state.

What jumps off the map is that there is high crime in gun restrictive states and low crime in gun friendly states. The logical conclusion is that Democrat soft on crime policies encourage gun violence.

It’s sadly not the way I’d like it...
My moms still there but in a liberal way.
It’s an out of control commie cesspool.

What, no Connecticut?

Magazine restrictions, have to buy a new AR-15 with pinned magazine (renamed a DS-15, split gun to reload), register all assault rifles previously bought or made (ghost gun), store all guns securely, etc. I can't keep up with the constant added restrictions.

When they make me a felon, all bets are off.

Suppose we agree that they can’t have guns, but they can have the right to have guns?

“Suppose we agree that they can’t have guns, but they can have the right to have guns?”

A stroke of a pen away ....
All the momentum is toward that, and much worse.
The experiment is over. He light of liberty has lost its luster for the groomed and dependent people of the whole world.
The momentum is retrograde, and
I find no reason for optimism.
Maybe, in a thousand years, any who survive will build another republic whose’ champions will recount the glory of this nation (if there is a record left) and the advantages I, and we, once had: and the lamp will be re-lit.
Sorry for the multiple posts above. Not intended.

Hopefully SCOTUS will prioritize the 24 state AG's certiorari regarding the assault weapon ban soon.

That Is how I viewed it in California...
Couldn’t Buy ,Sell ,Trade and certainly Couldn’t shoot some items. The “legal” option was to surrender them.
.
Arizona fixed All that.

My state also is banning gas-powered vehicles (I learned this morning).

I’m so proud.

“The usual suspect states.” I wonder, if Indian Reservations can now operate casinos which are illegal outside the reservation, why cannot such tribes sell rifles on the Rez in those states? What a turn of events that would be!

All I can say is that the citizens in those states must like it that way. Garbage like Schumer (56.7% of vote), Nadler (81.6% of vote),the Cortez nitwit (70.6% of vote), etc. were not elected by fraud or accident. They were elected because their statist views agreed with the opinions of the majority of voters in their respective districts. It is the people who live in those states who are the problem. And if they don’t want their rights, then they don’t deserve them.

The problem is that they’re exporting their love of totalitarianism to other states by A. the actions of their elected representatives, and B. by moving to free parts of the country and taking their voting patterns with them.

Thanks, I needed that!

This nation is in a tail-spin.
All that should be up, is down. My heart has been breaking for awhile as I see what has happened in the past couple years.
I am a retired municipal cop, crime scene detective: the horrors I saw were nothing compared to what is happening in the whole U.S.A., now, since Biden’s supervision of the trajectory down to poverty and unrest and tyranny.
How could this have happened?
My daughters, my grandchildren: what will will they face?
I am sorrowing. Pardon me.

Live rural, far away from ferals
Live small, big house = diversity bait
buy gunz
buy ammo
stock food

doesn’t hurt to be at least a little prepared.

Don’t be that schlub stuck in an apartment, downtown anywhere when the stores close, gas stations dry up and animals prowl the streets looking for ‘your stuff’.

I’ve got an 80+ year old FB frenemy that’s down for every soft-in-the-head liberal notion that pops ip. He’s got young grandchildren, and seems oblivious to the consequences that they’ll face for his lack of foresight.
