Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) underwent emergency surgery Tuesday night to remove a blood clot and was diagnosed with a rare and potentially life-threatening disorder, potentially imperiling the GOP’s House majority.
Her hospitalization comes as she vies for the GOP nomination in Colorado’s 4th District seat in the November general election. She is running to replace RINO congressman Ken Buck, who resigned from Congress last month.
Boebert announced in December she would drop Colorado’s Third Congressional District to run in the Fourth.
Boebert’s campaign issued a statement in a Facebook post revealing the 37-year-old GOP congresswoman was admitted to UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland after experiencing swelling in her upper left leg. The doctors subsequently diagnosed Boebert with a condition known as May-Thurner syndrome, which interferes with a person’s blood flow.

Perhaps not, and *IF* that is the correct diagnosis, but whenever I hear of "circulatory" problems, my first impulse is to wonder if it is a side effect of the Vax.
I just saw an article the other day from some supposedly well known "expert" on the issue, and this guy said we will very likely see a massive die off of vaxxed individuals in the next couple of years.
I hope he's wrong, but I have fear that he could be right.
I think we will know eventually if all the vax fearmongering is justified or not, but it's going to be tense in the meantime.
May-Thurner syndrome is when the right common iliac artery compresses the left common iliac vein, leading to reduced blood flow in that vein. In some people this can cause deep venous thrombosis (DVT) in the iliac vein, but not commonly. The compression is thought to occur in as many as 1 in 5 people, but is associated with blood clot formation infrequently. It's hardly life-threatening (though any DVT can be life threatening if it leads to a pulmonary embolus).
There are lots of ways to treat this, including stenting the vein to prevent compression, the use of blood thinners, and sometimes an IVC filter.
I expect CO-3 to flip Democrat. That is why Boebert was leaving in the first place. And the Democrats have a much larger campaign fund than the Republicans for this district. They also have a less obviously corrupt candidate (Adam Frisch) than last time. He might win it.
I have heard almost nothing about the Republican candidates (all 11 of them). The most likely candidate is Ron Hanks, Jeff Hurd, or Russ Andrews. Hanks might beat the Democrat candidate Frisch. The other possible candidates probably cannot beat Frisch.
CO-4 will stay in Republican hands no matter who they have as a candidate. I hope that Boebert recovers. She put on a good show.

I feel sorry for this lady…..the set up at the movie theater where a camera was pointed right at her; her son getting in trouble; and now this. I Will say a prayer for her and her family.

There's tens of thousands of conservative Colorado Republicans who live in that district, many of whom are well-known, well-liked business owners with ties to their local communities.
The notion that Lauren Boebert is the ONLY ONE who can possibly win an election is ridiculous.
We've got to drop this cult of personality stuff. Boebert nearly lost her last election. She carries with her a lot of baggage.
We can and should do better.

You have to understand simple physics. When sitting, almost all of your weight is on your butt. That causes high compression of muscles and can easily cause blood clots. While sleeping, your weight is distributed over entire body. Much lower chance of blood clots.
Medical doctors have limited knowledge of physics and fluid dynamics. And most doctors I have dealt with lack common sense. MD stands for Doctor of Medicine. They are very good at prescribing pills.
There have been DOZENS of prescription medications available for blood clots for decades, long before covid was invented in a Wuhan lab. Which leads me to conclusion that blood clots have been around before the covid vax.

Boebert would take some counties, but not the district. It covers a huge area.
I doubt if she was vaxed. I attended one of her rallies and she told a group of us “No way I’m getting the jab”.
