There is a meteor report site for US sightings: http://www.amsmeteors.org/fireball/fireball_log2010.htm
They have 8 other reports for mine, so I guess it was not a hallucination. The one I saw seemed to break up in flight, probably not leaving a crater.
Don’t know if there is a similar place to report things outside of the US.
