Richard Haliburton taught me this lesson at age 12.
Richard Haliburton Book of Marvels, the Orient
It is my memory that the block, the largest known to history, was on the road to the quarry.

>>I would refer to this as the Galactica Theory - where mankind has been traveling through the stars and forced to find new planets because they keep destroying the ones the currently occupy. We keep making the same mistakes as a small band of survivors begins anew - but generations later - the same is repeated. 9,000 yrs ago with some form of technology to form and move those blocks - pretty advanced...as the Cylons say, All Of This Has Happened Before And Will Happen Again.
With all that “technology” coming in 9k year cycles, I’m wondering why we don’t find something a little more advanced than bigger Leggo blocks, something like a strip mall or freeway overpass.

In before the entire universe is only 6000 years old.

How much of the remains of a civilization that has "advanced" to the point where everything is biodegradable to last more than 10,000 years?

His hairdo looks like it comes from outer space. Someone needs to give him a gift certificate to a barber shop.Like that will work. Looks like someone tried to drag him into a barber shop by his hair, but he escaped.

If you go to the site of the original article there are a couple of very interesting videos. One is almost an hour long and generally moves its storyline between Baalbeck and Egypt.

The Unfinished Tekhen (Obelisk) of Aswan
As the title suggests, Unfinished Obelisk is an incomplete work, located in Aswan, Egypt. If completed it would have been the largest Egyptian obelisk ever finished. It is carved from bedrock with an estimated weight of 1100 tons.

This is a site I have wanted to visit since I was a kid. Maybe someday before I’m planted in the ground the region won’t be run by batsh!t crazy people who want to kill me.

We’ll have to live a long time to see that, I’m afraid.
Meanwhile, I’d like the megalithic construction phase to be scientifically dated.
