Evil Walmart opened one of those Walmart Express grocery stores last fall about a 1/2 mile from me.

Their Deli doesn’t have much, but it does have baby-back pork ribs. Those things are delicious and habit-forming. I try to keep several days worth in my freezer. Pop them in the microwave for 3 minutes and they are still delicious.

Just finished some for lunch a few minutes ago.

My husband calls bacon “the perfect food.”

And he is Jewish.

IT'S BACON!!!

Aldi's has all their bacons on sale, and I've been enjoying BLT's on these huge slices of their sourdough bread, it's 7½ x4 inches. I suppose the pros use an entire Italian loaf for one sandwich, but for me, that's too much chewing. 30 years back, oh, yeah! I'd hate to have to nap just to finish a sandwich, how humiliating! ;) Burp!

I raise my own hogs, primarily for bacon. I've selectively bred a few to achieve the perfect bacon maker and I think I've done it.

I bought two of the bacon explosions. Not too bad, but you have to like sweet Italian sausage, and it does cover up the true bacon flavor. Some guests were a little put off by the sauce and the sweetness.

If you make your own, I might suggest something like Jimmy Dean in a slightly spicy variety, and go slow with the rubs and sauce.
