Unusual Weather here in Sacramento.
It's not even noon and it's 92deg with 50% humidity.
Awful.
The dewpoin t is 70.5deg.
I don't know how folks east of the Mississippi are able to adjust to such weather, a common occurrence where they live.
Nebraska: Decent for mid-July. It would not be unusual to have 8-10 days in a row in the mid to upper 90s at this time of year. Today will top out around 90, similar for the rest of the week.
Here in the most miserable place on the planet, it’s 117 with 92% humidity. We had a cold snap last week—got down to 106,but the dust was bad...
Next month here in South Texas, that will be our Low
Same here in Ventura. Went out to spray off the sailboat and was wet by the time I was done. Went and took a shower and couldn’t get dry. Took 2 showers yesterday. No a/c on the boat. Thought I was in Atlanta, Ga.
Dewpoints in the mid to high 70s in New England until Wednesday. Yuck.
It’s beautiful here today near Indy. 82 with humidity around 60%, slight breeze. I’m taking an afternoon break, and sitting outside in the hammock as I type. I’m feeling pretty blessed to be enjoying the weather today.
80 and 64 % humidity in SE Wisconsin. Cool front coming will be mid 70s and @ 50% humidity after it passes
My wife and I were working at home when I noticed it looked like one of the five best days of the year. Perfect sunshine, temperature, breeze, few clouds. We took our daughter to the park and happened to run into friends. It really was one of the best days.
No cool weather here. It’s 98.0 on the patio and rising. Trying to fix a broken sprinkler pipe and I can only handle about 10 minutes outside at a time.

Used to live in Sac. Hottest day was 112F. I was teaching a class with 40 people in a fairly small room and the AC broke.

When it’s 94F, it is very unlikely the relative humidity will be more than 65% at most. That’s a dew point temperature of 80F and it very, very seldom gets above that.
Agree that the conditions can be very unpleasant.
We don't. We just stay inside in the A/C. LOL! I've been outside VERY little the past week or so because it's been so hot and humid. Even brought the outside cats inside so they wouldn't suffer heat stroke. My vet's already seen a few poor little victims of that. :-(
You’re 8250 miles off, but Phoenix is bad for the states.
Average temperatures here are 8 degrees hotter while the relative humidity here averages 27% higher.
Orange County at the beach, current 80 F, high 80 F, low 70 F, 66% humidity, almost no breeze. Feels like 87 F.
Rained hard Saturday and Sunday, which is very, very unusual.
Very uncomfortable, since few have air conditioning in our homes.

This is because these bodies of water are the hottest on earth and so have no cooling effect on the adjacent land, but still provide plenty of moisture for humidity.
I’ve never been there and don’t plan to go. Unless somebody pays me a LOT.
