Have you changed your talk radio listening choices due to the candidate they support?

Posted on 03/07/2016 5:43:56 PM PST by MNDude

This is the most heated GOP primary I remember by far. It seems like there are very strong supporters and haters of Trump.

Many talk radio hosts seem to take have taken sides. Prager, Medved, Hewitt, (and slightly Glenn Beck) are against Trump.

Limbaugh seems to give Trump moderate support.

I'm wondering if anyone has completely stopped listening to any talk show hosts because of their current stances and comments they may have made about your favorite or least favorite candidate.

It’s just like the internet.

I take what I need and leave the rest and whatever I take includes a heavy duty grain of salt.

I’ve just given up on talk radio entirely.

I’m currently listening to “Atlas Shrugged” (all 53 hours read); seems a far better commentary on what’s happening now than any ad-driven blowhard.

After many, many years, I have stopped listening to Rush, following his recent support for "legitimate, full-throated conservative" Rubio, then his support for "honest-truthful-throated" Cruz, (as well as his infomercials for all his kiddie books about "Rush Revere", moving children or mother callers about his books to the front of the call line, then chatting with them about his books for what seems like hours, and prior to that infomercials about his tea, "Two If By Tea", and Apple phone/computer/watch infomercials, and grand discussions about his golf game, etc., etc. etc.)

I also think that, in addition to his serious hearing problems, he has begun to miss the meaning of what callers are actually saying, even after he goes offline momentarily to have one of his staff like "Snerdly" or the others explain a call to him.   Something's just not right.

I also cannot stand to listen to Medved. He is a libtard as far as I could determine from his ranting and raving on the air.

I dropped Levin and Limbaugh in mid-2015. I dropped Ben Shapiro and Andrew Klavan sometime in early February. I haven’t trusted Levin, Limbaugh, or Hannity since they all participated in the conspiracy of silence about Soetoro’s biography, forged draft registration and “birth certificate” and the stolen SS number.

“You won’t get rid of him that way!” (How about get the TRUTH out, and then find out what happens.

“There will be riots in the inner cities if you impeach him.” (Nothing we can’t handle.)

“Get off my phone, you big dope!”

Rush has stunk since he moved to Florida. He’s been literally phoning it in. No humor. No parody songs or ads.

I controlled the car radio when Levin was on. Two weeks ago I gave up on him. I’ll listen to the music my kid or wife picks out.

I never heard Medved much, but don’t ever seek him out, after I heard him screaming that the 14th Amendment mandates anchor babies, and allowing only callers who agreed with him.

Gave up on Beck when he went televangelist.
Gave up on Rush with all the self-promotion.
Hannity repeats himself over and over and over.
Levin lost me with the Liberty amendments - I understand his point but ain’t gonna happen.

Still listen to morning guy Bobby Gunther Walsh.

NO more Rush. A Rush listener for many years. Unfortunately he started making no sense bouncing around from Cabana Boy to Cruz and bashing Trump. He purposely would misunderstand what Trump was saying at his rallies. For someone who golfs with Trump I had to ask myself why doesn’t he know Trump’s humor? I think Rush is just part of the establishment too. I’m done with him.

Can’t listen at all to Medved any longer. It’s one three hour anti-Trump rant. I’m not even a big Trump supporter, but it’s excruciating. I really think Medved’s become psychotic over this. He’s certainly become obsessed.

I realized Rush was dishonest when he was shilling for Rubio. Then when he said he wasn’t backing a candidate but clearly was behind Cruz I was disappointed again. He should be honest about what he is doing.

The secret dinner with Graham and Ailes was the final straw for me. I hate knowing Rush is establishment while pretending otherwise.

I’ve noticed that Rush is making more and more guttural sounds. When he says “Uhhh,” it’s turned into a long, drawn-out belching sound. And he does it constantly. And his voice is no longer mellow and deep. His throat sounds tense, and the sounds are unmusical.

Another talker I’ve axed: Steve Deace. To use Deace’s own terminology, he’s become a “slappy” for Cruz. And his attacks on Trump are all about how Trump is divorced, Trump hasn’t asked God for forgiveness, Trump is a heathen, Trump isn’t born again, Trump is Hitler, etc.

And Deace has a sidekick with a piercing, nasal voice, who sounds as though he needs his sinuses and nose reamed out. He has trouble pronouncing “M,” “N,” “B,” and “D” because he’s so congested. Between that painful voice, and Deace’s crush on Cruz, I haven’t listened to Deace in a couple of months.

Agreed. I never listen to her anymore either. She’s as nutty as Beck.

I haven't changed my listening habits recently. I don't need to agree with all of their opinions. I never have and never will. The ones that I listen to bring different things to the table. The syndicated shows I listen to when I get the chance are Prager, Hewitt, Levin and Rush.

Alex Jones says Beck has Rubio-like things in his past, and is blackmailed.

That may be why Beck is always crying.

Yep. Only listen to Savage now. Turns out he was right about the Republican party all along.
