Was a 283 when new, a previous owner pur a 327/250hp in it so it's technically not numbers matching, but looks original. If I had a dollar for everyone who asks me if it has hydraulics... ;)

Back in the 60s you could tell what kind of engine a car had from the outside.
If it had a 283 it would simply have a (V). A 327 would have the v with racing flags. A 396 would have the same with the (396) numbers above the V. Same for a 427. If it was a six cylinder it would be plain. It seems like I remember a wide V symbol with a gold background on the grill on some Chevys. I think it was associated with the 327.
Ford had a similar set.
