Someone will, eventually. Then the debate will begin; was the "harvest" a function of science or of seeking a huge payday? 'Squatch seekers seldom get close enough for really good photos or video and few folks are equipped with tranquilizer projectiles for catch and release.

The New Madrid fault zone is in Missouri. Back in the 1800’s it had a huge earthquake and church bells in Boston rang because of the shaking!
