I came here today to tell you there is a youth ready for this fight in Europe today.

Marion Maréchal-Le Pen-Le Pen is the niece of former French presidential candidate and leader of the Front National, Marine Le Pen, but they are not without their differences. The younger Marion takes bolder stances on social issues like abortion, and is more overtly Catholic in her expression of her beliefs than her secular aunt. The party's history is with fraught with controversy involving everything from family feuds to being accused of Holocaust denialism. So it has had trouble uniting the the various facets of France's conservative movement.

Following her aunt's defeat in the French presidential elections last spring, Marion Maréchal announced that she'd be on hiatus to focus on business ventures and spend more time with her daughter.

The CPAC 2018 conference in Washington D.C. marks the first time she's been in the political spotlight since then. She may be charting a new course for herself and other like-minded conservatives of her generation in France.

Wow! Thank you for linking that. I have never seen such an excoriating takedown of one's political opponents.

It seems from her tone that she thinks there is no possibility of any real discussion with her opponents.
