When Iran took the embassy in 1979, we froze all their funds that they had in US banks and kept them sequestered all those years. Obama did essentially pay them with their own money. The planeloads of pallets of cash were intended for bribes and arms purchases. Or at least that’s how I understand the situation.

I read an article not long ago that the $ was not “mullah” money but from the previous Iranian government to buy arms with, and was $400 million. So it was not the mullah government money anyway, and they had legally forfeited it by various crimes.

So there was NO legal reason to give them one damn penny. What to speak of billions or whatever it was that Steaming Pile aka as 0bola gave them.
