Not only are there no real stars anymore, there is no real art either (or you have search hard for something of real artistic merit). Today’s movies, music, painting, etc. deemed by the “elites” to be art of lasting value is mostly complete dreck.

Exactly! I have no idea why movie people, professional athletes, ETC. decided they are important to American politics- experts for opinions on major issues- but they are wrong! I used to watch them for entertainment, but they don’t do that well anymore either.
Jimmy, you mentally challenged fool, if you alienate 1/2 the nation; keep bitching and tick off half of the rest then you will suck and no one wants to watch. Couple that with mindless drone actors and artists who have NEVER been known for intelligence, trying to lecture the rest of us.

Now the industry has morphed into a far-left political crowd who hate America and even the audience they play to. Their awards show has turned in to a litany of political attacks, with the Oscar awards being given secondary billing.
No one wants to watch a pompous late night hater, throw fuel on the fire of the political debates going on in America right now.
Hollywood, movies and the celebrity culture used to be a welcomed escape from the dreary day-to-day life for many Americans.
No more. Now you would think the Oscars was a democRAT convention or a communist get-together.
Just like everything else the Left touches, they have ruined what used to be a truly American thing.
He was doing his schtick with Guillmo (sp?) and I thought, "Hell, the Oscars are over?"
Even if Netflix was a plausible excuse and it isn’t, anymore than HBO or ESPN or some other network is an excuse, Kibble still needs to explain why so very many people tuned out his Oscars to the point of a disastrous ratings collapse.

Next thing you know, Hillary will be blaming Netflix for losing the election.
The gossip websites of today are far too vague. We already know which celebs have publicity marriages, are rumored to be same-sex, and have been seduced on every directors' casting couch. The UK DailyMail website gives a day-by-day photo shoot of these publicity prostitutes. No need to tune to anti-Trump lectures on an awards show rewarding leftist ideology movies and honoring leftist celebrities.
I watched North Woods Law on the Animal Planet. Then at 9 I switched to Walking Dead. Then I went to bed. No Netflix Sunday night for me.
Exactly, they live in an alternate reality. In their world, the Oscars are the most important night of the year and Hollywood actors are the most important people.
I think at this point, even many of the people who didn’t vote for Trump are getting tired of the politics at award shows. Entertainment is supposed to be an escape from politics and most people watch for that reason.
I was playing an online game. Didn’t watch at all.
