My whole life I had thought I hated mayo when I really hated Miracle Whip.

The only thing my Mom would use was Miracle Whip so I didn't care for it on my food. When I met my wife she only used real mayo and I immediately fell in love with it.

I like lots of real mayo on my sandwiches now.

Lots of distasteful jokes and pranks could not have been done, had it not been for mayonnaise. :-)

That is interesting, since they also make Duke’s. I am familiar with Sauer’s spices, extracts, etc., but never knew they also had their own brand of mayonnaise.

As a kid, I never knew frog legs were supposed to be high class eats. Grandpa would go down to the cow tank and shoot some big bull frogs and grandma would fry them up. Yum. Same with rattlesnake and squirrel. Once, us kids caught an armadillo and made granny cook it. Yeah, yeah, don’t even start with the leprosy. I can remember catching big minnows and cooking the eggs. Sauteed minnow eggs are much better than expensive caviar.

Here you go. Chilli and slaw are good on hotdogs too, but I have never put mayonnaise on a hotdog.

Had a friend, little skinny girl, who would eat a jar of mustard for an after school snack.

Mix it by hand and it’ll come out beautifully.

I guess you’re not Asian——sticky rice rules in that community.

My wife is half Japanese and I found out real fast that American grown rice is a different taste and texture from Japanese rice. It didn't take very long for me to only want the sticky Japanese rice and the better flavor.

You’re a brave soul. I don’t like eating out or going to pot lucks. Too many lessons learned the hard way.

So good. I throw the meat on for protein but in my heart the tomato IS the meat!

chocolate cake with mayonnaise

Let's compare ingredients. Eggs and oil in both regular choc cake and choc mayo cake. Oh, so it's the physical act of whisking you don't like instead of the ingredients. No, both are beaten. Ok, I give up.

You're right. C.F. Sauers does make Dukes and I've never made the connection. Wonder if it's the same recipe?

Anyhow, I really like Sauer's BBQ sauce. If you ever see some in a supermarket, give it a try. A hybrid vinegar and tomato based BBQ sauce.
