The senator didn't stick around long enough to process any applications, despite several offers to take him up on his offer from the audience.

So Friday more than three dozen demonstrators showed up at his office, many carrying lettuce picker applications in one hand, and a head of lettuce in the other to show they could do the job.

I hope someone told him back then that lettuce is a winter and early spring crop and not a Arizona summer crop? The goofball things he came up with....

He was quite the gift to the democrats. A democrat in Republican clothing. And voting to keep obamacare made their hearts all aflutter.

Pure B.S. I know of thousands of young,(now old or deceased) who every summer went to the Yuma or Phoenix areas to pick lettuce in 110° temperatures to earn enough money for a year’s tuition at the State Universities and Colleges when they taught something substantive.

My Dad did it. His brothers did it. And I have heard about many others. McCain was so petty

Not surprising, since to the media the only good Republican (even a RINO one) is a dead Republican!

It should go without saying that the DEMOCRATS “really liked” the guy...with this issue he was probably more vocal than most Democrats, out in front promoting their Agenda, offering help in a way even fellow Dems couldn’t.McCain was both the MSM’s and the Dem’s “favorite Republican” , the “go-to” Pubby because he was so much like a Democrat in the most partisanly important ways: he made every one of them think “See? This is what a Republican “could” be like!””
