So I was watching TV last night. (Yeah, I know, I know...) and while I was watching, a commercial for JCPenney came on. Now, do you remember a few years ago when they had Ellen DeGeneres as their spokesperson? Do you remember what happened to sales at JCPenney? You would think that after the disaster that occurred with that, they would learn from their mistakes. Apparently not.
I saw two different commercials last night for Penney's , and in both of them the spokesperson was none other than Carson kressley. Remember him? Alumnus of the orginal "Fab Five" on "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy"...and the most flamboyant, over-the-top flaming queen of the group.
He is the new face of JCPenney.
They are so archaic and irrelevant, maybe it’s their attempt to seem hip. Out of several stores I ordered from on Cyber Monday, their package (ONE item) is the only one I don’t have yet. And I only ordered from them as I couldn’t find an item at LL Bean.
Liberals and the LGBT think they’re in the majority until crunch time comes and companies they work for and give advise to collapses.

it’s really a shame about JC Penny. Their ad campaigns and business decisions - remember the Target executive they briefly hired that wouldn’t do sales - are awful. Ellen Degenerate was annoying but it didn’t stop me. I have know idea who this new spokesperson is because I avoid TV as much as possible.
I still shop there at Christmas with a dear friend because we get good quality clothing and housewares during their holiday sales. We’ve been going to Penny’s every December for over 25 years. Service has gone down, the decorations sparse and the merchandise displays are not always neat. For the latter, it is Christmas time and lots of shoppers rifle through stuff.
I go there strictly for nostalgia. The Sears nearby is horrendous. I can’t believe it’s still in business. Penny’s won’t be far behind. I miss catalogs but then I’m getting old.
Ellen DeG being their spokeslez was one thing; but then their mail and news insert brochure/alogs began to have cavorting, prancing, sashay-ing doubledad families page after page. Empty stores for 6 months, CEO fired, then JC Penance for a while and another decent run. Now this. Can’t fix stupid I guess.
JC Penny stock is already circling the toilet bowl. it has been at historic lows, and is still dropping.
Its bankruptcy is probably a matter of 6 months.

Most TV shows have a gay, a gay couple and a mixed couple. If aliens visit they would they would be surprised .
The majority of men in commercials, these day, are either portrayed as idiots or wimps.
I'm absolutely amazed at the change in it lately. It's become so PC that it's ridiculous- unwatchable. It's been top rated for years, and has won all kinds of rewards, but I predict this going all in for PC will kill it.
Anyone here know what I mean? Agree?

At the beginning of the new Pandora jewelry Christmas commercial, it appears to be a lesbian couple lovingly exchanging presents. If I owned by of their junk, it’d now be in the trash. Way to turn off the vast majority of their customers.
Guess your dad grew up in the city. In rural areas, the Sears catalog was all you had. That or sewing your clothes.
Saw a jewelry commercial on last night. Women giving jewelry to women, white on white, white to black. The thing that hit me is that Christmas is the time that men give jewelry to women. Won’t shop there this year. Oh had one man on at the end for 2 seconds. Who are these people doing commercials. Are they are gay?
There’s a commercial for a French fashion or fragrance house on TV.
The model is dressed as a female but she/he could be either IMO.

I saw one where the guy gave an engagement ring to another guy. Like I said, I don’t get why they feel they need to shove it down our throats. I won’t be buying anything from that chain.
First there was Gibsons. Then there was K-Mart. Now, we have Target and Walmart. There may still be some K-Marts in the poor sections of town and it’s guaranteed to be trashed out. The last time I was in one was 25 years ago.
