I don’t use them.
For the most part, I am in a lousy and cranky mood just about all the time.

I’ll probably be getting a lot of Charmin’ ads.

If you set a frowning face on a m*slim site, you’ll be arrested for “islamophobia.” Give them 10 years and this will become a reality.

Solutions:
1. Be assertive in taking an anti-tracking stance.
2. Don’t use EMOJIs. Instead, do something radical: express your feelings in English.

Do they track old-fashioned emojis?
;>(
To: ProtectOurFreedom
Many apps turn the common “old-fashioned” emojis into icons. So they are probably tracked too.

I’m just wondering if the title of the article is correct; are advertisers getting this data, processing it, keeping track of whatever token they’ve assigned you, and then independently serving those ads to you, or simply that Twitter offers advertisers a service that will serve x ad to those who have thumbs down y ad?
I suspect that the later is true, as few companies would want to waste the massive amounts of programming and server time to serve the ‘appropriate’ ad.

Tracking my emojis? Oh noes! I guess I'm in trouble with the Deep State. Because here's the one I use most often.

If a service is “free” it means that you are not the customer. You are the product being sold.
