My best friend lives in Black Mountain. Not many Blacks there but there are some in Asheville. I was once actually surrounded by 8 Blacks in Asheville.

Yes— there has been a “migration” if you will of the liberal enabled white guilt types in Durham encouraging a forced cultural assault on the very Mountain culture people in W. NC. Encouraging the move to a demographically largely white population. And there generally are a great many poor white people in those mountains even today (despite all the fed “hep” they got with the TVA and the War on Poverty-— hep they would just as soon not gotten being pride filled people of Scots-Irish background ancestry).
But, in came the wealthy “just want to have a mountain home, and put it right in the middle of a beautiful pristine mountain ridge” people not from the region, nor are they native North or South Carolinians. Bringing their liberal crapola with them. It is a culture friction (black or white liberas) that is palpable.
Durham (the servant’s quarters for Duke’s wealthy brats and socialist professors) is a major home for Marxist liberation theology. See: Crystal Mangum the black stripper and the entire Duke LaCrosse pretzel logic story of mis-justice— and one can understand what the entitled young are now acting out, like their 60’s moms and dads and as their public school teacher activists have taught them. Tribal incivility is now... OK... well, just because.
