Forgotten no longer

Donald John Trump became the first third-party candidate to be elected president. First, he destroyed the Republican Party, then took its nomination and won the White House by destroying Hillary by exposing her as a grifter (you'd be in jail) and a drunk (Sick Hillary). He kept the name Republican because changing all that stationery is expensive.

At CPAC today, President Trump explained who his new party stands for.

The Forgotten Man.

The veterans. The soldiers. The police. The firemen. The paramedics. The groundskeepers. The farmers. The truck drivers. The factory workers. The janitors. The maids. And above all, the coal miners, without whom we would all freeze to death in the dark.

"The forgotten men and women of America will be forgotten no longer. That is the heart of this new movement and the future of the Republican Party. People came to vote and these people, the media, they said where are they coming from? What's going on here? These are hard-working, great, great Americans. These are unbelievable people who have not been treated fairly. Hillary called them deplorable. They're not deplorable. Who would have thought that a word was going to play so badly? That's the problem in politics. One wrong word and it's over. She also said irredeemable, but we won't mention that," President Trump said today.

Ah yes, Hillary's cute and cutting remark about a basket of deplorables as she shucked and jived for the elitists who gave her more than a billion bucks to blow on an election she made about her (I'm With Her) instead of the country.

Journalists who agreed with her assessment that America is deplorable laughed and write stories about her clever remark.

President Trump said it cost her the election. Who are you to argue? He won.

Americans won, too, because a new party emerged, one that was conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

"The GOP will be from now on the party also of the American worker. You know, we haven't been as a group given credit for this, but if you look at how much bigger our party has gotten during this cycle, during the early days when we had 17 people running, the primaries, millions and millions of people were joining. I won't say it was because of me, but it was, okay? And we have an amazing, strong, powerful party that truly does want to see America be great again, and it will see it, and it's going to see it a lot sooner than you think, believe me," President Trump said today.

"A lot sooner than you think. We will not answer to donors or lobbyists or special interests, but we will serve the citizens of the United States of America, believe me. Global cooperation, dealing with other countries, getting along with other countries is good. It's very important, but there is no such thing as a global anthem, a global currency, or a global flag. This is the United States of America that I'm representing. I'm not representing the globe. I'm representing your country.

"There's one allegiance that unites us all, and that is to America. America. It's the allegiance to America. No matter our background or income or geography, we're all citizens of this blessed land, and no matter our color or the blood, color of the blood we bleed, it's the same red blood of great, great patriots. Remember great patriots. We all salute with pride the same American flag, and we all are equal, totally equal in the eyes of almighty God. We're equal."

And there he got at the heart of the matter.

God.

This nation was founded on religion, not atheism. It is freedom of religion, not from.

Communists and other tyrannical forms of government do not believe in God.

We do, and as long as we do, we are free.

" I want to thank, by the way, the evangelical community, the Christian community, communities of faith. Rabbis and priests and pastors, ministers because the support for me was a record, as you know, not only in terms of numbers of people but percentages of those numbers that voted for Trump. So I want to thank you folks. It was amazing, an amazing outpouring and I will not disappoint you. As long as we have faith in each other and trust in God, then there is no goal at all beyond our reach," President Trump said.

The Forgotten Man -- and the forgotten God -- are the Republican Party again, just as it was when Lincoln took the new party to the top in 1860.

(Something I threw together almost 2 years ago.)

Oh I’d rather be Deplorable and vote for Trump, Than be an angry liberal sporting a massive hump; It’s different ways of responding to life you see.

Well, me I’m a Deplorable and that’s alright, And they’re full of what the MSM shovels every night; I might be unpopular but at least I live without faux guilt!

Thanks for posting this.

This article might be explaining how the Trump curse is devastating the old and new liars of both parties.

It was a hostile takeover of the GOP.

BOTH parties had been pursuing a bipartisan policy of non-enforcement of laws and borders which has resulted in at least 30 million illegal aliens.
BOTH parties only offered the solution of amnesty.
Abandoning the rule of law and surrendering the country is not what the citizens wanted.
They elected President Trump to stop and reverse the Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA).

The tea party was a good idea at the time, but Trump has hit on something much more important..... we only have one political party that still believes in America as the founders envisioned it. And I’m not talking about the GOP Elite politicians. I’m talking about rank-and-file GOP voters. If one party is in favor of capitalism, and the other is against it, then the party that is in favor of it has to stand for the poor, the middle class, and the rich together. And they have to stop ceding moral Authority to self-appointed SJW’s who would happily feed gays, women and minorities through a wood chipper if that would help Advance the cause of socialism.

So no, we don’t need any Christine O’Donald’s or Sharon angles. We need about 200 more Brian Kemp’s, and then it will be our party. The future is in our hands.

And way too many supposedly on the Right will fight him tooth and nail to keep the Republican Party from that change.

The secret is to represent those citizens who take responsibility for themselves.

Then represent those who have gone the extra step to help others.

If Trump can show the GOP how well that formula works, the country will be taken back from the parsites.

How many of us actually identify with The Republican Party?

Most of use use it as a door of political access only because identifying yourself as an Independent seems to be the province of Republicans who want to be part leftist and Democrats who want to be Leftist but aren’t stupid enough to want to be painted with the same tainted brush.

It seems like there has to be a new party for people who are real conservatives.

I identify as an independent and have since GHW Bush.
Bush League Republicans are NOT conservative and hold most of the power in the party.
The NRSC and NRCC are still controlled by open borders/amnesty types.
I never give to any RNC affiliated group.
I was fooled into donating to Micro Rubio in 2010 and learned my lesson.

Christine O’Donnell and Sharon Angle were not bad candidates and would have been better Senators than the Democrats that were elected.
When both parties want to defeat you because you stand with the citizens and the rule of law, they usually win.
Karl Rove and the Bush League Republicans always side with the Democrats to defeat any candidate that is not an open borders loon like them.

Yes: the distinction must be made.

I believe we have a UniParty, and that tbe left/right divide in DC is largely illusory.

But it is real among average American citizens.

Here’s the main problem, as I see it. Back in the 70s and 80s, after rural evangelicals and urban religious Catholics defected to the Republican Party, they focused too much of their rhetoric on what they didn’t like about contemporary popular culture, and not enough emphasis on the Democrats long-term incrementism.

They should have been saying “these left-wing Communists who came out of the hippie and punk rock movements are just biding their time waiting for older more socially conservative Americans to die off while they brainwash successive new generations of children, and that’s why the most important thing for us to do is be active on the local level as far as what’s going on in our schools and universities where are kids are being taught. These country club Republicans just don’t get it, and they really don’t care. We need to replace them with politicians who understand the Left’s End Game, and will fight against it in all 50 states, not just conservative states”.

The religious right had its heart in the right place, but it’s messaging was poor, and that is why the GOPe was able to thrive for so long.
