Hmmm. Well, you don't NEED to finish in 4 years or less. Perhaps you could even get a part time, uh oh, JOB? You know like at McD's or something. (They'll help pay for part of your college in some cases.) Take some courses at a Community college before going full bore. IN STATE schools instead of FEELING you NEED to go across the country. Perhaps an ROTC program. If you're hungry and homeless, you're doing something wrong. But of course you know better than us dumb old white guys, right?

Just a ridiculous comment. There are no starving college students.

I’m shocked that homelessness has suddenly reappeared in 2 years after Obama solved the problem 8 years ago.

Especially in California and LA where homelessness is non-existent because of strong Democrat policies.

In fact it’s so good in california that they’re taking in millions of immigrants with no impact to their homelessness, economy or the environment as they have plenty of water and power to go around.

“The strong U.S. economy is a myth to many American college students.”

Well, if they are not participating in the economy, they will not reap its rewards.

I worked part-time and summers when in college, and I was never hungry or homeless, nor were any of my college friends. Of course, it didn't cost $60K/year to go at that time, but that's a different issue...

Best part of people working kitchen duty at my college is they brought back all the leftovers after the dining halls closed. The food would have been otherwise tossed. Sometimes the guys would bring back a huge plastic bag filled with hamburgers! We definitely did not go hungry.

Maybe they’d like to try doing what I did when I was in my 30’s, divorced, and raising two sons. I worked full-time days, and went to college full-time nights. Had a 4.0 average, and graduated with Honors. Too many pussified kids today. Bet they got money for booze and drugs though.

My grandfather had a part-time job and put himself through a Master’s program at USC.

Non-stop illegals mean part-time jobs, physical jobs and summer jobs are TAKEN.

Meanwhile, tuition sky-rockets.

Boomers always say young people have it super soft and in some respects it’s true.

BUT:

Say, how many of you when you were young REALLY could foresee a day you’d be a minority, or that there simply would be NO MORE white people at all..?

Because that’s what they’re living under.

How many of you when you were young visited the emergency room for something very minor but then owed $10,000..?

My college student just started a summer job at a restaurant. In the Trump economy, with fewer illegals, there are LOTS of entry-level jobs available. I see want ads all over the place.

I was working between 40-50 hours per week while taking 15 credits. Can’t relate to the idea of a starving student. Trouble is they aren’t “hungry” enough!

They mention a full-time student who works part-time and “has no food”. The utterly obvious solution is to work full-time and attend classes part-time. Stunningly stupid report.

BALONEY!

I was a hungry and homeless college student for years! Came from a very poor family! Father died when I was 14! Had it ROUGH!

I WORKED my way through 13 years of college! Never went into debt! Worked nights, weekends, holidays!

I KNEW that nobody could do it for me! I knew that I had to do it myself! I worked hard, hard, HARD!So what did all that hard work do for me?

It taught me PLENTY!

I learned self-reliance, self-respect, self-confidence--and many, many, many other priceless things!

And what did I get out of all this?

PLENTY!

AND I was a millionaire at age 40! A mulitmillionaire at 43!

My life has been HEAVEN ON EARTH!

Why?

In large measure because I learned to work hard--and because I HAD to work hard!

Don't come to me about the "poor little hungry, homeless college students"! I was one! It taught me PLENTY!

They are ‘hungry and homeless’ because they are too busy doing BS other than what they should be doing. Taught for 8 years at university level and most of them hardly wash their arses because they too busy doing sh*t other than what they should be doing. I used to call it ‘Get-out-of-jail-free’ syndrome cause there is NO ONE to tell them when to go to bed, to wash their arses, to get up, to go eat, etc. Most college students have ACCOUNTABILITY issues up the ying yang.

If you can’t afford to go to college, get a job, save up your money and then go. Don’t expect anyone else to care about your cash flow problems.
