Interesting, so, how do we get there?
Assuming you could get a probe to travel near the speed of light, it would take 8 years, then of course deceleration, and go into some sort of orbit to do any sort of observations.... Then of course the 8 years for the data to get back.....
So if we launched today, could travel at light speed, and go into some sort of orbit to do observations, it would be 16 years at least before you began actually getting any data... and that’s of course if the probe could even survive the trip.
Seems like an interesting goal... But wouldn’t hold my breath on the probe to make the trip getting approved anytime soon.
Define “nearby”.
...a nearby star
Lemme know when we get a “signal” saying / indicating —3.1415 etc etc etc
So much has been attributed to Ben Rich that ferreting out truth from fantasy is well nigh impossible.

Ouch.

Best statement of the thread.
The sola scriptura position is not that Scripture contains all that can be known, nor that Scripture formally provides all that is necessary in life, but that formally and materially it provides all that is necessary for salvation and growth in grace, and it is the supreme judge of all Truth claims.
And rather than the accusations of real changes in teaching having merit, the abundance of ancient manuscripts - unique among anything of like antiquity, yet the integrity of which sees little doubt - testifies to reliable transmission.
Moreover, if Catholicism changed it - this being the only institution having the power to do so - then it did a very poor job. For it would not have been hard to add or alter little statements that would clearly support distinctive Catholic teachings that are not manifest in the only wholly inspired substantive authoritative record of what the NT church believed (including how they understood the OT and gospels), which is Scripture, especially Acts thru Revelation.
Like changing Paul's rebuke of Peter to being that of James, or attributing final judgment of the Jerusalem council to Peter, and adding his name to the over 30 names Paul lists as acquaintances in Romans 16. And in speaking of NT clergy, using the Greek word distinctively used for a separate class of sacerdotal believers, and adding "with the Eucharist" to "feed the church of God" in Acts 20:28. And or adding "pray to them" (the so great a cloud of witnesses") in Hebrews 12:1, and naming the women clothed with the son in Rv. 12 as Mary. And even, "Mary died and was taken up to Heaven." The list of which goes on.
But if you subscribe to "Da Vince code nonsense, see here by God's grace.
However, since your rejection of Scripture enables you to apparently believe such things as "We live on the same spiritual plane as the Universe itself," "let every living soul forget what individuals do and how they attempt to reach God, and mind their own affairs, just reach God within themselves then i am not surprised for attack its integrity. .
You seem to possess a faith of which you are confident. I’m glad of that.
I’m confident in my faith, as well.
