Walmart started using solar panels from SolarCity in 2010.

Tesla bought SolarCity in 2016.

So these aren’t panels designed by Elon Musk’s team. But Musk apparently bought the legal liability for them.

That's a relief! I was worried for a second, that any Walmart store that had a solar panel fire might turn into a "brick"!
