There is a treaty that was signed by Bill Clinton and ratified by the Senate that is the “law of the land” and covers the request for investigations. That treaty says that asking Ukraine for assistance with quote “Investigations”, is legal and further goes on to describe the OBLIGATIONS that both sides have to assist with the requested investigations.

So the request to investigate the Bidens was a legal and legitimate request.
