I could never enjoy the show. My grandmother inherited a huge 90 year old three story Victorian triplex. It had essentially been a chopped up rental for many decades. The city condemned it when I was 15. When all those renters moved on they stuck whatever they couldn’t carry in the basement. We literally spent the summer clearing out what had turned into a 2000 square foot jammed packed antique trove. Great fun. So the pickers pulling a couple or few items out of an old barn doesn’t hold an appeal to me
What you want history on the History Channel?

I mean the SciFi channel doesn’t show SciFi why should the History Channel show history?

No. Mike lives in my little town and his daughter is friends with my grand daughter. They are nice people.
Mike is from my hometown and I used to see him in a few places I frequented (restaurants). As far as I know, he’s married to a woman but that doesn’t mean anything these days.
That tatted up dispatcher could almost put one off women.

I enjoy watching them from time to time. Mike and Frank were best friends from the first grade up until today. They travel all over the states finding the “treasures” from those areas. The tattoo lady does research on places to go. She calls them in each state they are in. If you watch, you can get a history lesson every now and then. It’s better than watching “the real housewives of_____, or the “history” channel.
It’s sad that in today’s atmosphere any time two men are together everyone immediately thinks they are gay. I know that is the first thing my husband thinks.

I’ve never thought they were gay.. Didn’t even cross my mind and I have watched marathons of the show. One thing they are though is Democrats.. They go out of their way to appear like do-gooders, but then their greedy selves always manage to show through. Almost stopped watching the show when they made some snarky leftist comments. I got over it though.
One of the reasons I quit watching.
