COVID-19: Shopping Hysteria - Misplaced or Correct Priorities?
ProtectOurFreedom | March 14, 2020 | ProtectOurFreedom

Just got back from Safeway in Mountain View, California and I took notice of peoples' priorities in the current COVID-19 hysteria.

Pasta and tomato sauce -- wiped out...

Paper goods - cleaned out...

And right next to the paper goods section...Condoms - PLENTIFUL!

I work at a fast food restaurant and sales were down today. It was pretty dead there and they were sending employees home. Southern New Hampshire on Mass border.

Time is important to me.

I gassed up nearby and they had 20 cases of water for 4 bucks each still sitting on the curb.

Grocer is sold out from what I hear.

maybe we need to let the prices rise, so supply & demand stay in balance

Under normal circumstances, I might agree with you, but given the current national emergency, I really don't want Biden elected president because people have to pay $25 for a roll of toilet paper.

No, no, there was plenty of self rising flour. The all purpose flour was decimated, but it looked like not even a single bag of self rising sold.

Far as tooth paste goes I got 8 of my favorite tubes buy one get one about a couple of weeks ago, so I was good on that.

"Some people aren’t thinking about what to eat if they are sick. They’re not going to want heavy meals."

That's how I'm thinking. Bland foods. Crackers, apple sauce, rice, club soda and ginger ale is what I'm stocking up on. I'm trying to fit chocolate someplace in there.

I figure I can bake bread and toast it if needed.

"Baby boom in 9m"

scary thought. What if the carrying mom gets coronaitis?

Maybe we should pray for the unborn.

My son works at the Starbucks on the Stanford University campus in Palo Alto, CA. Students are not going to class, so their business dropped precipitously this week. They are spreading the available work hours among all the staff rather than lay people off. For now, that is.

1) Age Demographics of coronavirus: babies and people at the prime baby-having ages (20-35) are at very low risk of catching or dying from this infection.

`

Death Rate for Evey Age Bracket (LINK)

`

Thee chart does not show deaths under age 10, because the number of deaths recorded world-wide for under age 10 coronavirus mortality is zero.

Yes, zero.

2) We are at more risk of civilizational collapse from demographic sui-genocide --- or geno-suicide, if you prefer--- than from Coronavirus.

It's actually an exceptionally good time to start or expand your family.

Have kids. Have a future.

Interesting you mention ginger ale. A guy maybe in his 70s was asking a Safeway employee in the soda aisle if they had any ginger ale. Apparently they didn’t.

I hadn’t thought of that in case you get ill.

I live in a college town.

The move to online learning is going to decimate a lot of service based businesses around here.

Had twin preemie babies on oxygen the last time a pandemic issue went thru about 12 years ago. Jumped thru my 4th point of contact to prep so that my wife, babies, and MIL could isolate.

Never, ever, ever wanted to do that again so have been prepared since.

You are probably right. This may be the final impetus to really change “Big Education.”

I wonder if cutting up ginger root and adding it to club soda would be the same as ginger ale?

A lot of ignorant people overreacting. However, I did say around 2-17 that we were going to see major fall out from all of this. The governments’ reactions told me so.
