Trucks can still be allowed and cars not. Trucks can be subjected to randomized checks. It can be argued (by the powers that be) that the interstates has to be closed to non-truck traffic to let the trucks go faster so as to bring in supplies more quickly.

That’s very true but that’s not what’s been talked about. I heard one radio host talking about specifically trucking being shut down. I almost drove off the road I was so pissed at the stupidity.
I’d actually support what you’re talking about. Stay home. Let the trucks move faster but they already are.
The last time I went into work was yesterday. I go through two major roads in MA, I-90 and I-95. Both are usually totally jammed at 7am. Yesterday they were both moving regularly.
SO such a move is not even needed. Traffic is already low everywhere.
I stand by my statement.
