Which is why going to the beach is not a bad idea at this time, other precautions remaining.

Problem is when people go to the beach they slather themselves with sunscreen.

AZ will be the place to watch.
The snowbirds have gone home so our population has dropped by 300k.

>>Which is why going to the beach is not a bad idea at this time, other precautions remaining.<<

I live at a Gulf beach and have watched my local community deal with “open or not open” question. They decided at the last meeting to open for walking and fishing, but no beach equipment such as towels or chairs.

If people social distance I see no reason why the beaches can’t be opened.

It is my unprofessional opinion that sun screens, with all their chemical content, are prolly carcinogenic, in and of themselves.

Th snowbirds are still inhabiting my town, daily depleting the stores of paper goods.

Ok, that was yesterday’s complaint, so I will move on. At the outset, there was a suggestion that heat might kill or minimize the outbreak. In Az, it might seem so. But in Florida the outbreak is pretty bad. A friend told me they were checking cars at the state line, if they were from New York. Don’t know if that’s true, but it’s possible.

A few aren’t, including some deemed safe around coral reefs. Most aren’t safe around coral.

Problem is when people go to the beach they slather themselves with sunscreen.

UV will not penetrate inside their bodies anyway. But it WILL destroy viruses in the air outside, reducing airborne contamination risks.

The worst part about them is they keep your body from making Vitamin D. People should use common sense. Don’t become lobster red and you’ll be fine. If you are super fair cover up before you burn.

Also vitamin D3 production increases. People are out and about, sun angle is high enough to produce it and we wear fewer clothes in the summer so we GET that sun exposure on our skin.

Without sunlight your body can’t make vitamin D which boosts your immune system. Sunlight works both outside and inside your body.
