I am not sure they are even theologically accurate but they comfort people, thus the cringing over re-application. Thank you for pointing out it is only a poem, not the Word of God.

Exactly. It’s a meme. They are meant to be provocative to encourage thought. The best ones challenge our comfort level in some way.
As long as the meme is not spreading false information, it could be useful. If it reaches the mind and heart of just one sleeping fool, it was useful.
