Facts: Trump started acting on this as soon as he was told there was a problem.
Original estimates were up to 2 million dead. That was in the public knowledge. If he downplayed that because he though mitigation would work, he was exactly right. Team Trump needs to hammer that hard, because the press won't stop yapping about the Woodward quote. That needs to be quashed completely.
Fauci has agreed he didn't mislead the public.
Equipment and supplies were ramped up in a hurry. There was a lot of concern about ventilators, but that was taken care of.
He shut travel down when the dems were resisting. Aside from some nursing homes in Washington state, as a result the virus didn't break out early on the west coast.
The dems were telling people to go to the Chinese new year.
Cuomo was sending sick to nursing homes, killing tens of thousands.
He moved quickly to shut down the economy.
The mask debate is a sideshow, and there have always been expert people on both sides. The mask has become a political shaming statement.
The message now is too disjointed, fragmented and unclear. This needs to be spelled out. He is getting beat up on this every day. Everytone Pelosi mention a it, run the visit chinatown tape. Every time Biden mentions it, run the xenophobia tape, and every other wrong comment he made early on.

The 200,000 number is a crock.
They are counting people as having died of the China Virus that were never tested for the China Virus.
They are counting people who would have died anyway from other factors simply because they tested positive.

Motorcycle accidents
Heart disease
Stroke
Renal failure due to chronic kidney disease

traumatic head injuries

domestic abuse

The ONLY criteria to be included in this 200,000 tally is that you die WITH COVID (as confirmed by testing) or even were PRESUMED to have had COVID (even if never tested/confirmed). Never mind that doctors were diagnosing COVID without testing - for symptoms that also align with a bunch of other illnesses.
One of my church members passed away a couple months ago from renal failure+ heart failure. She had been on dialysis for almost 2 years, but had gone over a week without getting her treatment due to COVID causing schedule issues. She was finally sent to a local hospital because her port had clogged up (as happens when you get bumped from your dialysis appointment too many times). They had to do more than expected to repair the line and gave her anesthesia - which she never awoke from. She never showed ANY symptoms of COVID - but they had done a test when she got to the hospital (standard procedure) that supposedly returned positive. So guess what was on her death certificate....
