Yesterday afternoon at a Long Island laundry mat, my daughter and I were busy doing a few loads. While I was transferring clothes into the dryer, the overhead big screen TV had CNN’s preview of the upcoming SCOTUS nomination. One of CNN’s panel began speaking about how he suspects Trump will not transition peaceably when Biden wins in November. I could not stand it any longer and with my outside talking voice, “Trump will not have to transfer power. He is going to kick Biden’s butt.”
An elderly black lady loading clothes into her dryer asked me, “You think so?”
“Absolutely, there is no way Biden wins. Plus, with Trump securing the court, eventually all this “Mail in” voting will be thrown out.
The black lady with a hint of a Jamaican accent said, “Listen, don’t tell anybody, but I am voting for Trump. He is a good man. But don’t tell anybody.”
Of course here in Suffolk County, the people preferred Trump to Hillary, but in many other areas, the love for Trump has grown tremendously. Maybe, just maybe NY can flip to Trump.
About the same hope democrats have for South Carolina.

It makes me wonder why so many ads are being run for Biden in upstate NY? Surely the polls of NY have what’s his name leading handily.
Biden is spending a huge amount of money running ads in the Northeast. Hillary never did that and won easily in that area. The Democrat internal polls must be a bit troubling for them.

I believe we all are in for one hell of a eye opening election.
The state of NY might not go for Trump, but there will be historical democrat areas that will swing to Trump and the GOP.
I am seeing a few more dim signs pop up around Columbia for the fool and fellow travelers.
Maybe a half dozen. Most on the same suburban street.
They’re running ads because they are terrified BiteMe is losing his base.
Even in NYS. And while Upstate is mostly red, we have our major metro blue enclaves, along with Tompkins County, home to Cornell and Ithaca College.
Donald Dems and #WalkAway are a thing.
I stand in agreement with you. We will be blown away at how many blacks vote for Trump. In fact, BLACKS will be blown away at how many blacks vote for Trump
Trump could win NY before the ballot harvesting.
I was in Dutchess County NY Sunday. There was a 100 car and truck parade for Trump a few hours before Trumps 5pm announcement. It was great seeing all those Trump and USA flags on the vehicles.

BTW, something I’ve noticed over the last few weeks while driving around NYS (since residents who can’t self-quarantine for 2 weeks after can go anywhere else):
You see homes with American flags.
You see homes with US flags and Trump signage.
You see fewer homes with BiteMe signage.
But interestingly...I have yet to see a home with BiteMe signage flying the American flag.
Not one.
What I see here in east Texas is pretty encouraging.
So far, in the past 3 or 4 weeks, Trump signs have been sprouting up everywhere I look, and so far only one Biden sign I know of, in a grown up yard of a vacant house that’s up for sale. (Seller would do much better if he cleaned up the yard, that’s the 1st thing people see. Make the yard look good, it’ll sell a lot quicker.)
Anyway, I’ve also seen something else interesting. In addition to 3 billboaards advertising either Trump or vote republican in general, I’ve seen 3 Trump flags and one American flag placed in treetops. And I’m not talking 15 foot saplings, these are 50 to 60 foot pines...and a flag on about a 12 foot pole strapped to the very top of the main trunk.
I took some pictures, going to see how they came out and may try to see if I can get one uploaded and try to post it.
Suffolk County is a bit different from Manhattan though as you pointed out.
I like your enthusiasm, but all that mail-in voting won’t get thrown out (perhaps dome other angles of fraud will be stopped), so don’t give folks the idea that it isn’t vital they get their vote in and counted!
Also, folks of Jamaican ancestry (that I know at least) have tended to be hard-working folks who view urban American blacks and “black culture” with total disgust.
