After responding to several posts here on FR about not being able to view certain Twitter accounts I have performed an experiment.
The problem: It seems that going to certain Twitter accounts that they do not load or they display with a message, "Try Again". I have responded to several posts to simply hit refresh multiple times to see the content.
The question: Is this intentional? Is Twitter doing this to dissuade people from reading certain Twitter feeds?
The experiment: I went to multiple Twitter pages (on the web, not a phone app). I do not have a Twitter account - I deleted mine years ago during the Hussein Administration. When going to the Twitter feeds, I watched to see if the page immediately loaded or was I met with an error message.
The results:
@realDonaldTrump - had to refresh 3 times
@TrumpWarRoom - had to refresh 3 times
@TeamTrump - immediate load
@RudyGiuliani - had to refresh 3 times
@GOPChairwoman -immediate load
@RealRLimbaugh - had to refresh twice
@EricTrump - had to refresh 3 times
@kayleighmcenany - had to refresh once
@JoeBiden - immediate and visually fastest load
I have a very high speed internet connection. My browser cache is cleared. My computer is new (this year), optimized, has antivirus protection and is powerful with tons of memory.
All of these tests were performed back to back. Some accounts that immediately loaded had blocked content earlier in the day and I had to refresh more than once to view content earlier today.
Conclusion: I am fairly positive that Twitter is intentionally blocking initial access to conservative Twitter feeds to make people give up and not view content. They eventually do allow access so they have plausible deniability.
Why does Twitter matter to you?
it as happened to me lately when I click on a twitter link, this page not available to you
Started getting the “Try Again” thing yesterday while attempting to go to James Woods’ page.
They’re a private business, why does it matter?
“Has anyone else notice this?”

Yup. Especially this week and more often on recent Biden-related tweets the last 2 days. If memory serves, it’s almost exclusively on tweets that could be labeled as “conservative”. But, yeah, gotten that quite a few times in recent days.
You can be pretty dense at times.
This experiment was interesting. Im glad it was posted. It is called original research.
Glad to hear from you humblegunner. It matters if they are suppressing conservative communications in a coordinated matter with Democrats and the media. Granted, they are a company and not subject to the first amendment. But is it good to know who your enemy is.
James Woods is back up. He was suspended for 12 hours.
I don’t know, maybe. But in any event so what? They can do what they want with their site. Did you try the experiment with some left-wing sites or Biden-friendly sites?
See my post to humbergunner.
Yes, Joe Biden’s feed - see the results.
I use Safari browser on my MacBook Air, and get a lot of “something went wrong” or “your account doesn’t allow you to view this” or “please try again” on Twitter. I get that message sometimes even when I click on site links in White House emails, or Twitter links posted elsewhere. I don’t have a Twitter account, and figure it’s because of that, or Twitter doesn’t like Safari. All I have to do is refresh the page, and it works.
You just have to refresh. They do this on purpose, no doubt, because some don’t know to do that. It’s a deterrent.
They also tank the audio on certain videos. Vid plays, but no audio in the stream. I am tech savvy. Not on my end. They strip the audio for certain users. I dropped to the level of examining the stream contents in packet capture. Audio portion of the streaming vids missing.
Its because Trump related sites are being slammed and you and 5 other people are going to Bidens site.
James Woods says it like it is.
They’re the 21st Century version of the “Town Square”. I believe that they need to be regulated as such. Free speech must be protected at all costs. Or else Big Tech will control free speech and this will turn into 1984.
Suspended from posting. Not my ability to read.
I have noticed this in the past, but doesn't seem to be consistent. This page reloading thing seems rather persistent in the last couple of days, although I have observed it in the past.
For everyone: Granted my little experiment is far from scientific - few controls in place. But what I did is explained in detail in the original post. That's about all the attention it deserves - about 15 minutes of my time.
