New Data Suggests President Trump May Be Right About Success of Regeneron, the Antibody Cocktail Used to Treat Him for Covid-19

When President Trump emerged from Walter Reed Medical Center, he seemed pretty convinced that the treatment he was given was a cure for COVID-19. He reported feeling better almost immediately after being given Regeneron, a polyclonal antibody formula. Yesterday, Regeneron published the results of the first three phases of their trials for treating COVID-19.

Regeneron has completed the required randomized, double-blind studies that Dr. Fauci insisted on. At the end of September, the company reported that the treatment reduced viral levels in a study of 275 patients who had no evidence of an immune response before receiving the therapy:

“After months of incredibly hard work by our talented team, we are extremely gratified to see that Regeneron’s antibody cocktail REGN-COV2 rapidly reduced viral load and associated symptoms in infected COVID-19 patients,” said George D. Yancopoulos, M.D., Ph.D., President and Chief Scientific Officer of Regeneron. “The greatest treatment benefit was in patients who had not mounted their own effective immune response, suggesting that REGN-COV2 could provide a therapeutic substitute for the naturally-occurring immune response.

Now the company is confirming that the treatment significantly reduced medical visits in a trial of another larger group of patients:

“The first job of an antiviral therapeutic drug is to lower the viral load, and our initial data in 275 patients strongly suggested that the REGN-COV2 antibody cocktail could lower viral load and thereby potentially improve clinical outcomes. Today’s analysis, involving more than 500 additional patients, prospectively confirms that REGN-COV2 can indeed significantly reduce viral load and further shows that these viral reductions are associated with a significant decrease in the need for further medical attention,” said George D. Yancopoulos, M.D., Ph.D., President and Chief Scientific Officer of Regeneron.

Trump was right about HCQ+A+Zinc.

And he was right about Obama’s “birth certificate.” It’s a FORGERY.

“It will be provided at no cost whatsoever.”

Nothing is free. Taxpayers will pick up the cost.

Yes. Because vaccine works on the same principle as polyclonal antibodies

And prevention is always superior to cure. If you don’t like that thought take it up with Hippocrates

Studies still need to be finalized. It is not gonna be approved until there is consistent effectiveness without signicant toxicities. Fortunately these studies should wrap up soon.

Regarding cost...my guess is that it will be enough to reimburse the companies efforts and them some profit. Most likely it will be subsidized by state and u.s. governments...could be cheaper than stimulus package. It will be competing against other treatments upcoming which may be equally effective or less expensive or toxic or easier to administer. Like aviptadil or remdesivir.

Please note...the title of posting seems to suggest the name of the “cocktail” product is Regeneron....but Regeneron is the name of the company.

Regeneron and HCQ cocktail are MORE effective than any potential vaccine so far.

For now, I take Zinc with Quercetin (by Sandhus) Walmart.com $19.95.
Vitamin D3 (HIGH potency)
Ester C
B-12 (3 varieties, high potency, for my diabetes nerve problems)

and several other supplements for various reasons.

But he has also been right about most things since he almost always takes both sides at one time or another.

Drugs that are not FDA approved , that are being given via a emergency use authorization or an EUA cannot by law be sold the company must donate them to the patients in exchange for them waving the right to sue them and the free release of the patients HIPPA protected medical data. So no while the EUA is active the American taxpayers will not be paying. Why do you think remdesiver was approved so fast now that it is fda approved specifically for covid the company can charge what they want for it something like $1000 a day.

For the antibodies I’d gladly pay a thousand for them if it turned POTUS around in hour’s time ten grand would be worth it. The daily rate for private suite at a private hospital is over $10k a day being relased after a day and the antibodies vs 5 plus days and remdesiver is a bargain.
