Condemning hydroxychloroquine for treatment of early-stage COVID was all about getting Orange Man Bad.
The American Medical Association has been adamantly against hydroxychloroquine as a therapeutic for COVID for the past year. Just a few days before the presidential election they reversed course, reversing their opposition. Did they suddenly realize HCQ might have benefit in certain patient groups or were they lying for the past year? How many individuals died as a result of being denied potential lifesaving treatment?
The AMA is synonymous with organized medicine, despite myriad specialty societies that may better represent the needs of its member physicians. In fact, only 12 percent of practicing physicians belong to the AMA due to concerns that the AMA is more interested in its own finances and politics than the concerns of doctors.
When the AMA talks, media and the public listen, due to their perceived clout. Last spring, the AMA issued a statement critical of hydroxychloroquine as it was being used off-label in the treatment of COVID, not FDA-approved for this purpose with supposed “dangerous side effects.”
Quietly at the end of October, the AMA issued a new statement, conveniently overlooked by the media, giving the green light to doctors prescribing HCQ to their COVID patients.
RESOLVED, that our American Medical Association rescind its statement calling for physicians to stop prescribing hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine until sufficient evidence becomes available to conclusively illustrate that the harm associated with use outweighs benefit early in the disease course.

The only answer at this point is Class Action Lawsuits against all these quisling killers Personally, But they really should be Criminally Prosecuted and Asset Stripped.
Add in a baby aspirin and you’re up to nearly TEN CENTS a day to significantly reduce the odds of catching it or the severity if caught!
TEN CENTS A DAY! Heck, even the very poor can afford to do it! We ought to have programs offering vitamin D, zinc & a baby aspirin for free to those in the inner city - although the race baiters would probably tell them that would be a bunch of crackers trying to sterilize them or something....
Now add a Keto diet and the survival rate for folks in their 20s and 30s ought to go from 99.98% up to....99.995%? Maybe 5 out of 10,000 would die?
But NO! We needed to shut down everything, put everyone in face diapers and tell them no one can work and everyone MUST depend on Mt Government and, BTW, vote Trump out.....

Full disclosure: I majored in biology and love science. I just don’t SEE much science around me any more! When scientists started agreeing it was fine for a male to stick his penis into another male and call it sex......and that men can menstruate and women can have penises....
What does baby aspirin do against this?
I’m convinced zinc is key. I’ve taken Vitamins C and D along with magnesium and other supplements for years. I still got Covid and developed the Covid pneumonia. I began taking zinc at the first sign, but it was too late to prevent it from taking hold.
My taste and smell were gone (a sign of a zinc deficiency) for between 1-2 weeks. A friend who doesn’t take zinc hasn’t regained taste or smell for over a month and has picked up other infections shortly after recovering from Covid.
Somehow this virus must deplete your body of zinc. Or by some mechanism, your body needs zinc to fight it.
From what I understand zinc and copper must be balanced in your body just like sodium and potassium. Too much zinc and you can have a copper deficiency so we can’t overdo the zinc.
COVID finally stripped the mask off the US healthcare industry at a Republican or conservative part of the society. The AMA and healthcare decided to get totally political and destroy any credibility as a professional entity with COVID. They are progressives and show they are perfectly willing to let people die to promote their progressive Marxist agenda. Is there any profession left that progressivism hasn’t tainted with its corruption and misery? Progressivism/communism destroys everything it comes in contact with.
BTW, I’m not disagreeing with baby aspirin, I’m genuinely curious. I just realized I sounded dismissive.

Meantime, they vehemently denied the use of this simple medicine to the “unwashed masses” in order to get as high a kill rate as possible and to promote the media over-hype. I was thinking of it as a preventative for catching it. The blood clots part makes sense. While I was in the clinic they did a CT scan to check for a blood in the lungs. That’s where they saw the “ground glass” pneumonia in both lungs.
Side note: the x-ray showed clear lungs, but the CT scan showed the problem. This is the second time in 12 months that an X-ray showed nothing, but a CT scan revealed a problem that needs treatment. Why are we still using x-rays for all lung issues? Why make people pay for two tests and get exposed to radiation when the first test is so unreliable that a second has to be ordered?
I think part of the problem is that some things work IF they are done in the first days of infection. By the time people KNOW they are sick, it is too late. By taking a baby aspirin daily, you are addressing the problem even if you haven’t developed raging symptoms.
Don’t think it prevents catching it, but I also think we have truly screwed the pooch by focusing almost entirely on PREVENTING it versus early and effective TREATMENT. Generic enteric coated aspirin is a penny a day.
Not looking at things like quercetin or aspirin or vitamins (D, C?) or zinc - or all of them - has been a huge failing of the medical establishment.
What a curse on this nation and the world, and the real roots of it needs to be exposed!
I have been taking vitamins, C,D, B12, Zinc for over a year and I developed what I thought was a nuisance sinus infection week before Halloween. I had all the symptoms of a sinus infection, pressure around the eyes, drainage with color and headaches in the sinus areas. I called my doctor and described symptoms and he called in Amox and steroid script which I started taking them and felt a little bad but could still work and do my daily activities. I also started taking Mucinex DM for drainage and coughing and would walk about the house and not sit or stay in bed all the time either.
Two days into the antibiotics my oldest son called and he had caught covid from his partner riding in the cruiser he thought, so get tested and I was positive along with my daughter who still lives with us, my wife was negative. We still can’t figure who caught it first, me, my son or daughter. The officer he rides with still hasn’t got it even thought it’s went through his entire family.
I continued taking the antibiotics and steroids along with the vitamins and it felt like a weak sinus infection. There was one day I felt like I was in a fog mentally and had a constant headache which meds would take the edge off for a week. My son lost taste and smell and its just now starting to barely return. My daughter lost smell for one day and it returned. Her boyfriend caught it and had no symptoms but congestion for one day and he thought it was allergies and he lost his smell which still hasn’t returned. I wonder if me taking vitamins helped me not get the smell and taste symptoms? I’ve had worse sinus infections that kicked my butt hard compared to covid, but I wasn’t taking vitamins at that time either.

This is not accurate. A resolution, 509, was brought which was not adopted. The quotes are from that resolution, but it was not adopted. Instead, the AMA reaffirmed their existing policy H-120.988 about doctor-patient independence and access, but only with FDA approved medications, of which HCQ is not.
In the wrong hands, this could be touted as a conspiracy theory.
