Orlando Police Department officers exchanged gunfire Tuesday afternoon with three people, one of whom was wounded but survived, police Chief Orlando Rolón said.
Rolón said two officers in an unmarked car approached the three people, who were standing on a sidewalk about 1 p.m. at Jacobs Place and South Lakeland Avenue, a few blocks from Camping World Stadium.
Before the officers could exit the car, they got into a shootout with the three.
Rolón said it wasn’t immediately clear who fired the first shots, but said officers on OPD’s Special Enforcement Division fired from within their vehicle.
He said one of the three people was found shortly after the shooting with injuries in his arm and leg. The wounded teen, who was detained, is “expected to be OK,” according to the chief.
The agency said officers have since located a second suspect but are still looking for the third person involved.

What is a special enforcement division?
$25,000 bond? wtf?
Probably what they’ve renamed the Gang division.
Okay... so wanna know something REALLY crazy?
Travis Weston, one of the suspects, was a student of mine at the day treatment center I taught at.
Kid was a crack baby and, you guessed it, an ASPIRING RAPPER.
Total moron, but strangely very sweet to me.
Jeesh...
Why do you say it was an ambush? Were the cops on uniform or plain clothes?

$25,000 for the assault charge, no bond for the attempted murder charge.
One of the Cops’ gangs out looking for dope, guns, and cash... You know the stuff that starts out at the suspects’ house as 100% of x (where x is illegal material) and then is checked in at the evidence room at a rate of .5(x) and what actually survives to a trial is .15(x)...
Been a subculture in the LA County Sheriff’s Office for decades; gotta figure cops are cops everywhere and cops are just people too...
Oh good. Thanks.
Look at the bullets hit the windshield...
Pretty sure those are outbound.
