I have a pair of JBL studio monitors that are over 40 years old. Still great. 3-way with 12”

For amps I still use some 40 year old ones.

A Ramko, and a Revox A77 internal amp.

I know a unicorn that’s selling one.

Your best bet at this point is to go to dine estate sales and get the old stuff.

When it comes to electronics I include Japanese and German stuff because at least they are our allies.

I can’t recommend Schiit products enough:

https://www.schiit.com/

I use their Modi DAC for my gaming PC with a Vali amp to my Beyerdynamic DT770 headphones.

Their products and designed and made in the US in both Texas and California.

Look online for gear from decades ago. Stay in the analog world of course. MOS FET good, power transistors tend to saturate and die.

There are plenty of amps made in the US, but they’re rather expensive. I’m partial to Van Alstine myself. They just came out with a new lower-price model, and everything is made in Minnesota.

Harmon Kardon used to be all USA made, but where bought in 2016 by Samsung, the Korean company.

I don’t know if they are all made in South Korea now, but they’re stuff was so good and older model might be a good investment.

All of my HK HIFI gear I bought in the 1970s and 80s, and they still work beautifully.

Go on Ebay and find a Marantz 2270 - rebuilt.

Consider an older plain analog amplifier. You don’t have to buy something with tubes.

You would have to forget class D in this case. But at the low power you need, that doesn’t matter.

Or, I think you can find a kit.

Finally, you could just build something from a schematic.

I will post specifics later if I get time.

Look on Ebay, they have older, used high end stereos. I have purchased Adcom and NAD off Ebay with no issues.

I second the recommendation for Schiitt and Audio by Van Alstine products. Van Alstine is great but I don't know if he is producing any Class D amps.

Personally, I wanted to dive into Class D and found that a lot of high end amps (claiming to be USA made) are using IcePower amps in their product. Ice Power is a Danish company but my guess is they source their manufacturing in Asia (but I could be mistaken). I built 2 monoblock amps around the 500ASP module - found all the parts in kits online. Parts Express carries the IcePower amp in the USA. I am very happy with the sound.
