Let's all try this, wonderful if it helps.I'll do it!
If running low, just get your gas the day before on April 14 or the day after on April 16. Every little bit helps.
In April 1997, there was a 'gas out' conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight. On April 15th 2011, all internet users are to not go to a gas station in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $1.20 a liter/$3.87 in most places.
If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take $2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companies pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on April 15th and let's try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day.

How about drilling a well vertically to 10,000’ and then turning and drilling a horizontal lateral another 10,000’. Then, cement casing in the well and perform about 50 frac stages.
What is this chain letter BS? There was no “gas out” in 1997. Gas was $1.20 a gallon in 1997. There was no overnight “30 cent drop” that year.
And how do I boycott gas 11 years ago? And why is the gas price quoted in liters?
Exactly. This is like that “Hands Across America” crap that was being sold back in the 80’s. One of the very few times Reagan disappointed me.
“And the futures traders greed. They are the modern day equivalents of money changers in the temple.”
Your post shows biased ignorance.
I’m going to ensure that the tanks in our cars are all empty on the 14th, and then fill them all up on the 15th.
“... and would put $1,146,000,000 (average) into the oil companies pockets on each of April 14 and April 16.”
Yep. The silly things people come up with. Almost as bad as chain letters
useless,
Chain Letters! I had forgotten all about those! Used to love breaking them as a kid in the 60s.
Joe Bribeim could have this over in 15 mins, it is not the oil companies making the money.
Do you think if this boycott where to really happen, it would catch the attention of the politicians, oil companies and NEWS media
Where are all the oil companies positions on the drilling issues? Could the oil companies do more. Can the government do more? YES!!
People and businesses can NOT operate with these HIGH gas prices. These high gas prices will destroy this country.
Easy enough.
Have a nice life.
Will this mean there won’t be the usual long line of cars at the Costco pumps on April 15th? Might be a good day to fill up.
I will give this exactly the same amount of thought that I do to those who tell me where to shop, which TV shows to watch, and which search engine to use.
GFY.
You are still buying the same amount of gas.
They are still getting the same profit and the government (who does nothing) is still ripping you off with sky high taxes that are over ten times what ever profit the oil companies make.
I know that, but while Hal may be happening, he is way off the mark on this issue. 😋
This is too stupid for words.
Stuff you see on the internet.
5.56mm
This is completely stupid. The price will not go down and the oil companies won’t feel a thing. Truckers and gas station owners will have a dead day and a super busy day the next.
Get a clue.
