Tesla has laid off both the president of its LGBTQ+ community and a lead involved in diversity and inclusivity programs at the company.
While they were let go as part of a broader wave of layoffs, it comes amid several comments Tesla CEO Elon Musk made, concerning what he describes as the “woke mind virus.”

The slant of the author is obvious. Reading the comments, its a fun game to guess the generational cohort of the individual. Its also obvious who most likely to me who is among the slackers you find in every large company.
Sooner or later, companies tend to remember why they exist, or cease to exist.
Darnit. I don’t want to buy a Tesla because I don’t support the global warming lie. But Musk might force me to buy one just to support the liberal tears a flowing.
Why were they hired in the first place?
Good question.
HR probably. HR is the worst department in every company.
“Prediction: Don’t be surprised if this becomes a trend in industry in the future.”
I really hope this is the case...

We accept him! One of us!
Well BlackRock is blackmailing all these companies to kowtow to the 10% of their employees that have pink hair or males wearing eye shadow. See this weekend, the companies were having trouble virtue signaling all these pet causes, rainbow flags with an emphasis on Juneteenth. F*cking dumb. I will NEVER hire a woke employee, will not fill out any moronic diversity statement. I fact I PRIORITZE hetero married white males if all things equal. Bottom of the barrel for me in IT is Indians or rainbow flag types, next is any Black who in the interview uses the word AXE when they meant to use ASK.
Depending upon where you live, it may make good economic sense for a few reasons.
1) Practically maintenance free. Battery life (statistically) should be around 1 million miles, same for the motors. Warranty is not this high, depends upon make/model and year.
2) Batteries can be recycled, companies such as Redwood Materials, American Battery Metals Corp, LiCycle and others are ramping up today, to perform exactly this function
3) The car should peform MORE functions as software improves, than it does today.
4) Range is still an issue, compared to ICE. However, some studies are showing that driver fatigue is being reduced on long distance driving, with the EV’s proving to be safer on highway. ICE cars average 1 accident every ~1.7 Million miles compared to EV’s with an accident at ~4.3 Million mile rate.
5) Convenience and economics Car pre-heats before you leave, driving assistance, and with mileage and maintenance costs, the US Gov’t estimates these are on par with a ~140 mpg car. Costs to drive 1,000 miles are a reasonable basis to do costa analysis.
6) Tires will wear out faster on the EV, due to it’s weight; and probably also due to the performance. 0-60mph in the 2-4 second range has to rough on treadwear.
“Woke Back Morons” !
Gotta say: I’m impressed.
Companies are in business to make money not social engineering.................
If his companies are public, you could always purchase some stock in Tesla or SpaceX.
Good. They exist to make a product or produce a service and pay their shareholders. “Woke” does neither.
I have five children who we keep moving around Virginia and a multitude of special projects. No Tesla can keep up with the work my E350 XLT does. And the E350 is paid for. I guess I can pay the gas for the next few years.
Do Blecchrock, Statist Street and Vanguard of the Revolution purchase stock in public companies, or do they invest in private companies also?
Do the recyclers pay you for the old batteries so that you can swing the new ones? I hear the batteries are quite expensive.
Oh, dear. He should be spending around 2000 hours a year (assuming he takes 2 weeks vacation) writing software.
