A mistake on President Trump's part getting involved in Syria. That's none of our business, either. The middle east is a perpetual quagmire. It may not be right or just by our notions of governance, but the cultures and alien values of certain places are not amenable to any other type of governance. More often than not, they've got to figure things out for themselves and improve their own lives. We can't play big daddy God for them. We can't keep occupying armies in these places for perpetuity. If they can't take care of their own affairs, then they'll be brought down and replaced by something else and this will keep repeating until they finally get it right. This may take years, may take centuries, may take a millennia. There are countless problems in Africa, too. Civil wars, other madness. We can't solve their problems, either.
