The report is the result of six years’ work by UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which is seen as the world authority on the extent of climate change and what is causing it – on which governments including Britain’s base their green policies. But leaked documents seen by the Associated Press, yesterday revealed deep concerns among politicians about a lack of global warming over the past few years.

Before that we would spend summer evenings on our front porch or walking the neighborhood. So did all our neighbors. We knew everybody in our whole neighborhood so if I or one of my brothers did something stupid a few blocks away, my mom knew about it before we could pedal home!

The 43 year satellite global temperature record has definitely increased since 2013.

However, we had the most powerful El Nino in the record around 2016, and a second very powerful El Nino around 2020.

So, were the two huge El Ninos caused by global warming?

Or, were the two El Ninos just completely normal high temperature blips in a relatively short term record?

Unknown.

However, as of June 2022, the record has almost returned to the zero degree change - just 0.06 deg C.

Since 2005, the average temperature in the USA is definitely tracking near zero degrees of change.

The US Climate Reference Network is the most pristine land based temperature record in the world. From memory, we have about 130 state of the art temperature stations that are completely isolated from urban heat sources.
