EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more
I hope she gets there with no unexpected events.
Me too, but I won’t know about it until tomorrow morning, when FS comes to get me for my appointment.
I’m exhausted today, and I’m not sure why. I just know I want go to bed and forget about everything else!
It’s an early morning for me, and I almost resent it. But that’s probably because I only go every other month. Tomorrow, I’ll get the results of the MRI. You know - the one where my house keys were in my pocket? They never did call me to say it needed to be done over, so I’m guessing everything is OK. I hope!
The Hand of God.
On second thought, maybe The Funnybone of God. My husband always commented on The Creator’s sense of humor.
G’daft, y’all!
Voted, had oral surgery, drove home in 4” of cold fluffy stuff.
Four inches??? Y’all need that, for sure.
Sorry about the oral surgery. I hope you feel better overall when the swelling is down and the pain disappears.
About 6” now.
Sore now. I get the big dose ibuprofen tomorrow along with the antibiotic and the med to be named later...
I had surgery on my left pointing finger. Because my oxygen level gets low easily I couldn’t be fully sedated. They removed a tumor from under the finger nail. From my perspective they took a giant steely knife and frantically stabbed my finger till the nail can off. After this success the gouged out the tumor and put a giant bandage on like you see in a cartoon. Then I went to lunch. But most of the constant pain was gone so it was successful. Before my hand was very sensitive to cold and couldn’t walk down the frozen food isle without my hand hurting. This was done at Loma Linda.
All the super cute Swedish kittens frisking in the sunshine!
Howdy Stranger!
How have you been? Besides pointedly painful?
;o]
Holy cow. Is Tyson-who-is-not-allowed-on-furniture sharing your bed in sympathy?
I hope you were able to sleep last night. Somewhat.
Hey, Girl! How ya doin’?
Haven’t seen you in a while. Have you been ill?
Those kittehs just make me want to grab them all and run home with them!
Good morning. I hope you had a good night, without too much sciatica pain. Or cat. Or flailing limbs. Or loud noises.
Not looking forward to this morning because I don’t want to hurry up and go someplace. I didn’t want to get up but needs must. As “they” say.
I haven’t heard anything to the contrary, so I’m guess that PW made the trip in fine style. I had to pay extra for her front seat on the shuttle from Vegas to St George, but she’ll never know that.
I’m sure she deserves the front seat. Ay de mi.
I have physical therapy this morning, and I need to drop a book at the library that Kathleen forgot to put in the bag on Monday. I also need to go to Walmart today: I’m out of apples and bananas.
Good luck on your trip to the clinic!
Yes, well, you know. The poor thing gets car sick if she can’t sit in front. That poor driver will have to listen to her motor-mouth for two-plus solid hours, if the traffic isn’t too bad. ¡Pobrecito!
The good thing is that the appointment will only last about 20 minutes. The bad thing is that all that fuss and bother for only 20 minutes.
Good morning, Wordlers!
This is a crazy game, in which the winnings change radically and the points don’t count.
